work from the workshop

When the previous owners built this bungalow V the carpenter did the building as well ~ he was a very gifted person ~ and went to many lengths to get it just as he wanted it ~

and did the work in the workshop ~

He also built the Kitchen and put big built in cupboards in all the other bedrooms ~

V Sadly took his own life ~ that is how come we bought all the machinery in the workshop when we bought the Bungalow ~

That is sad that he took his own life...quite a craftsman too.  Like the stool you and Dick made.  You have got great views from your house, it looks like a lovely area you live in xx

Hi Ally,  What a beautiful home you have and so much storage space too.  How sad that the previous owner felt that his life was of no consequence.

All that build in storeage must be wonderful you are so lucky.  Notice there are still no leaves on the trees in Norfolk hape it stays like that for a wee while it makes our bird watching a lot easier no leaves to hide behind. Love Joan.

You have a beautiful home Ally. Thank you for sharing the photos. What a talented man and such a shame that he ended like that.

The plot thickens! This all sounds like a club
in which everyone knows everyone else, and has
known them for years and years. Gee, I didn't mean
to butt in from the street......

It looks fabulous Ally......I thought ironing boards were for surfing:), I hate ironing.

Liking your little stool, much care attention gone into that.

Very sad for V's family, any passing is traumatic but sudden unexplained hits double hard. Rache

Isn't it sad that so talented a man would come to that end? I know you have enjoyed the place and I imagine he would be glad of that. Paula

It is disheatening that V took his life.   He will be well remembered for the wonderful carpentry he did.   The stool that you and Dick built looks great and must have been a fun project.   The tile on the roof is wonderful and must last for 100 years or so.   mark

I really don't mind doing the ironing, it's the toilet cleaning that I hate (and I have three of them) - I am drooling over here about the vast amount of storage space you have. I'm such a packrat, lol.

Sincerely, Rose ;)

What a nice view, you are true country bumpkins. I love those wardrobes, and built to the shape of the room, impressive work. And the trapdoor - pure genius.

V was truly gifted in carpentry, what a shame he took his own life. I love the idea of the trap door, must make it so much easier to get furniture through. I also love the built in cupboards. Jeannette.

How wonderful to have all that storage space which no-one ever has enough of. I do not even have an airing cupboard although I have fantastic built in wardrobes in my bedroom and great storage in the kitchen. That has explained the workshop. How sad that he never lived to enjoy his labours. Love conniex

What beautiful woodwork.  I wish I had someone handy around here, to do the things that I need to get done.  My husband isn't the one to do it.  He tells me,  "I'm not a handyman ... I'm a pay-the-man." lol   Oh, well, at least he knows his limitations !   Tina

As well as all the good workmanship, that went into the building of the bungalow, I love the views too.
