Bugs Bunny and that blackbird

Where has the week gone ~ I seem to have been doing a lot but getting nowhere ~

The picture of Bugs Bunny belonged to my Mother in Law it was painted by Jim an American service man ~ ~who she was friendly with during the war ~ she used to baby sit for him and his wife Rita ~ their two children were Peter and Annette ~ they all moved back to the States after the war ~(We were told Jim painted the picture on a piece of perspex taken from a downed plane ~ but who knows !  it also has the original piece of string to hold it up) ~

(Just a little Quiz ~ Guess where bugs bunny is hanging in our house)

The ones of the blackbirds I took this morning ~ they actually come right up to my window ~ then wait for me to throw out a pear and some sultanas ~ which they really seem to enjoy ~ and as they are collecting the sultanas I assume they must be feeding their babies ~ As Lyn say's they have got me well trained ~

Yesterday I visited my Sister Joy ~ and had a nice time as some of my neices and nephews were there ~ so it was a good get to~gether ~

Driving into Norwich the Fakenham Road has a lot of Road works going on at the moment ~ and it being a very busy Road ~ there were a lots of hold ups ~ must find another way home ~

The violets will soon be coming through the lawn in the front garden ~ we always have lots of them ~ and they do look so pretty ~ seems a shame to have to cut the grass ~ but amazingly enough they are all back within a few days ~

There's a blackbird at work who every time I walk out the door comes flying over and sits on a bush next to the door and sings loudly! He's so sweet, I always answer by twittering back, I've had some funny looks from passersby who haven't seen the bird, just me walking outside and twittering!! Glad you had a good get together with your sister, hope you find a new route home! Jeannette.

Your birds have very expensive taste Ally.  I have violets that grow in among the stone chips I have out the front but am sure they look nicer in the grass. Have a nice day Love Joan.

Gee, your green grass looks good to me. We are still in a kind of drought so not too much real new green showing yet. Birds do train us by the way...so do cats. Sandi http://journals.aol.com/sdoscher458/PoeticJourneyOfTheSoul

I know what you mean about the week going by... nice pictures, how old are they? Nice to hear you are so well trained with the birds I like Lyn's slant on that! I'm afraid I have got a bit of a phobia of birds so I tend not to encourage them in my garden. It's lovely to have a get together with family. I imagine you and your sister are very interesting and your family get to hear about your experiences, I certainly enjoy reading what you remember from the past. You are such a good story teller!  I have just finished my 6 week placement in a town 12 miles away with an unavoidable dual carraigeway under construction as part of my journey so I understand what you mean about finding a different route!x

Either the kitchen or the loo i reckon...Time does fly by so quick, won't be long before the school holidays are over now...Those birds do have you well trained LOL...They must have expensive taste as sultanas ain't too cheap...Hope you find a new route to get home, roadworks are such a pain   Caff xxx

The Bugs Bunny painting has a historic value to it as well as a good characterization.     You have a nice looking lawn and the birds were interesting.    mark

Hi Ally ~ love the Bugs ~ especially the story of it coming from a plane !! I guess that it might be hanging on the landing wall ?? Just a guess ! I love family get togetherss ~ glad you had such a good time. Last summer Mart built a bird table in our garden ~ we love feeding the birds !! Haven't got any regulars though, as far as I know !!
take care, love ~x Debbie x~

Is Bugs Bunny in the garage? I have my garage walls decorated. We have tiny yellow flowers that come back after the yard is mowed. Paula

Hello Ally. . I think Bugs Bunny is in the bathroom? Am I right? Well maybe the bedroom. . or the kitchen, yes the kitchen would be a good place for a perspex picture. Love the story behind it.

LOL  I was going to guess the Loo was Bugs' hangout...close?

You tell the loveliest stories. Thank you.

Hey, Ally ..... what an interesting story about that picture.  Those are the fun things to have, those little keepsakes that tell a story of another place and time.
