Love the photo although I'm not really a dog person. Well, being a postman for 28 years you kinda develop a healthy distrust of them, lol. don't really mind them, just don't trust them until I know them. Give me a cat anyday.

When I lived in Mexico for four
and a half years I owned a Bull
Terrier I loved, and still think about
fondly, happy in the knowledge that
he's being cared for lovingly by
my good friend Arturo to whom I
gave the dog. We got the dog to
frighten would be robbers, but I doubt
he'd have attacked a human. His
'thing' was other dogs, any other dog,
whom he'd annilate as he was bred to do
originally, I believe, in England for dog
fighting, once a big sport: "Tyson the
bighter" we called him in fun, since we
named him after the Boxer Tyson who
bit off an opponent's ear. One day soon
I must go visit Tyson. I BET he lovingly
jumps all over me, perhaps even knocking
me down from enthusiasm, not malice.
Once on the beach I let him off the chain
and out of the blue another dog appeared
much to my chagrin. The only way I could
get Tyson to let go of his steel tight grip on
the other dog's throat was to drag both
dogs into the surf while continuing to shout
in Tyson's ear to let go. The combination of
English Bull Dog, with Terrier, built a one-track
-minded monster. But he loved me, and I love
him. So, I really get how you could be attached
to your 'friends' canine.
