Barneys injections

Friday we dropped into the Vets to book Barneys injections - when we went last year the apple trees were full of fruit ....the bushes were full of sloes.  the Trees had their beautiful Autum Blossom.

Driving into the park how different everything looked  - The trees were bare = as were the bushes, everything looked bleak and dull

It seems impossible that in a few weeks time everything will burst into life. and Spring will be here with it's promise of New life..

The first signs of spring are the snowdrops - I really look forward to seeing them poke there little heads through the hard ground.  such small flowers with such strength...and such beauty when they flower...

followed by the trees coming into bud - and making the bleak countryside look alive again. turning this dark wintertime into a new world full of promise...and full of hope for the future..

Hi Ally,  Spring can`t come soon enough for me this year.  I`ve had enough of winter now...I`m bored with the whole chilly process...lol!  Luckily Jake`s injections aren`t due until May...I wonder how much they`ll cost this year?!!  :o)

You make it sound like spring is right around the corner. I can see the green through your writing. I love to see the way you say something and compare it to the way we say it. It is so interesting to me. You say carpark and I say parking lot. I have seen the word sloe and I should know what that is but I don't. Paula

I do hope spring is round the corner! At work we have daffodils which normally flower in a sheltered spot in the garden from the end of January. Jeannette.  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels

Hope Barney behaves when you take him for his injections, they are not very brave little things are they.  When we were out for our walk on the first of the year I saw catkins (pussy willows) out on a tree  and thought that was very early. things to come. Love joan.

We are having a very mild winter here.   I do not even have the woodburner going because it would be too warm.    Once spring occurs I can remember people complaining about the heat, as I am one of them.    The fall was good for me after the hot August.    It is just cold enough though today that I still do not feel well enough because of back pain to resume working on my home.    The good thing is that I can do a lot of reading.    So, I guess I will make the best out of what is given.     Only a red X in the corner for the photo?      mark
