Sorry looking Garden

I have been searching for signs of Spring in the garden today and was surprised by what I found ~ it has been quite warm today ~ and it was a pleasure just to sit and watch Nin and Barney following the trail of  our neighbours cat that roams our garden when they are indoors ~

There is a lot of new life just starting to come through and it is always exciting to watch and see what comes through first ~

The Apple and plum trees are covered in Buds ~ and I look forward to seeing the blossom ~

With last years Harvest we made Plum wine ~ and apple jam ~

The Black pole in front of some of the pictures is the Basketball net ~ which the Children just love to try and get their ball through ~ must admit I like to have a go as well ~

am going to post this now as I have typed this three times and just been cut off

Good Heavens, what quiet, lovely,
rural, peaceful, easeful-seeming
landscapes! In Spring I can easily
imagine the whole panoply blooms
in sunshine.

Your work shop certainly would make a good something or other. Go for it. Your lawn is very green compared to some down here. Paula

It's always good to see the plants coming up, let's hope some warm weather will follow!! It's been dark grey mist here all day, pouring with rain, I want summer now!! Jeannette.

It's the same here Ally.  The daffodils are still blooming and the tulips are in bud.  But I look around and see my lilac trees budding, the roses have new growth (which the gardeners at the hospital tell me should be cut off & they'll bloom better this summer) and the grass is long here and there.  If we'd ever get a couple dry days in a row, I'd mow it so it looks a little nicer. Just a few more weeks and all this "budding" stuff will be in bloom.  Linda in Washington state

Well Ally....I think Spring is slowly coming in most places...and like you our yard needs mowing....but it is a bit early...if we mow now...and a freeze...even a light one could damage what little (and I use that term literally LOL) grass we have growing LOL..seems to me ya need to get your "yard person" lined up...unless you plan to tackle that yourself....if so...Bless you...! Hi Ally,  I`ll bet your garden is gorgeous in the Summer.  yes, when did the grass grow like that, same here!  I`d like to know how is can grow like that without any rain, it`s been so dry here that Thames Water is in a state of panic!  :o)

Hey, Ally !  Don't you just love to find those first signs of Spring?  Looks like primrose grows quite easily where you live.  Here in California, I have tried to grow it so many times ... and failed miserably !  It doesn't like our hot, mostly dry climate, I'm afraid.  I'm getting anxious to get out and start planting my backyard.  It is in desparate need of a little TLC.    Tina
