Bright ideas and I love the tax man

Why I am showing the workshop at the top of the garden - We have decided to have all the carpenters tools removed and turn this into a holiday home.

We had a chappie in today to estimate what it would cost.

He said the building was very sound - the roof was good, and the floor inside is totally concreted and in good order.

It is very big inside - and was part of the original bungalow  that was on this site, before the new bungalow was built.

What we plan on doing is making it into a sitting room, a bedroom, a shower room, and toilet, and a kitchen equipped with cooker etc.

I am very excited about this venture and we are going ahead with it.....

we are going to make a walkway through ..so if we get visitors they will be totally self contained ...and won't need our help at all....Well if they did we would be only to glad to help.

You may wonder why I like the tax man today, well he sent me a nice big cheque as I had overpaid..(I love my tax man and the Dentist) !!!!!

Sounds like you are in good spirits today... thats nice. I have mixed feelings about the tax man ~ we are going to get a refund too but we do have to pay our property taxes and that is pretty much. Your guest house is going to be so cute. I can hardly wait to see the pictures. You have a very pretty yard! Sandra

Hu Ally!

First visit to your journal.  It brings back memories.  My first husband and I were stationed at Lakenheath in Ipswich. (Air Force) My youngest son was born there.  Well we actually had to go to London for the birth.  Anyhow he's my little bloke. Only he's not so little anymore, he's 34 now, and has a little carbon copy of himself that is 7!  The first 3 months of his life we lived in a row house.  Then the boys and I came back home.  When we went back almost a year later, we lived in a cottage on a farm, then when the couple that lived in the quonset hut below us went back to the states we bought their furniture and moved in there.  We were in England 2 years that time.  I loved walking with the boys through the path along the woods to Ipswich and shopping.  Ah well....memories.

I like your little guest house idea.  Maybe someday we'll visit you.

Come visit my journal.

Excellent idea to have the shed converted into living space.    The snow looks great with the look of the buildings and yard.    Hope the tax man stays on your list of people you enjoy.     mark

Love the snow pics.  I so miss the snow, we would get it now and then when we lived in Colorado.  Ooooo yeah, go ahead and fix it up so I can come visit you! :-P
