Caring Barney

Barney is such a caring little chap ~ Nin was off colour and had snuggled up in my dressing gown ~ and Barney knew all was not well ~ He tried his best to get in with Nin but there just was not enough room for the two of them ~

So he ended up sitting on the edge of the chair keeping guard on his buddy ~

By Dinnertime Nin had perked up and today is as right as rain ~

The Honeysuckle bush at the top of the garden you can only see if you go through the arch ~ as it is hidden from view ~ but it looked and smelled to lovely I took it's picture :o)

Sweet pics, Ally.
I love honeysuckle.  Have you ever tried gently squeezing some of the "juice" out of it and touching it to your tongue?  It tastes so sweet!
Hugs,
Nancy

Dr. Barney to the rescue!
Nin says, "I don't want to be the patient"
my John used to call our Lil Miss White Cat
the healing cat
he thought that she knew when
I wasn't feeling good
I think he was right

Oh I bet that honeysuckle bush smells delightful!  I don't have one in my yard.   How sweet of Barney.  Animals are so caring, sometimes even more so than we adults are.   Gabi stands guard on me, when she wakes up in the morning. Until I get up, other than to go to her littler box, she doesn't leave my side.  Sometimes she's so close I can hear her purring.   It was nice here yesterday, up to over 65* but now today again it's cold & misting. Hi Ally, How sweet of Barney to take such care of his friend Nin, that is true devotion.  I love the scent of honeysuckle, it reminds of of the terrace below my window when I was a child. When I awoke each morning at this time of year the scent that came through my bedroom window was heavenly. :o)

Love Sandra xxxx

Glad to hear that Nin is better. What a good friend Barney is to him!  I  think animals have a special relationship with each other that becomes quite apparent when sometihing is wrong with one of them.  Our honeysuckle is blooming as well.  It does smell lovely!

The honeysuckle is so beautiful, I wonder what variety that is.  Aaah on the doggies.  They do know when something is wrong and they do care.  Amazing creatures.

Sorry to hear that Nin has been unwell glad she perked up later and you do not have to visit that unmentionable place.  Your honeysuckle could not manage another flower if it tried.  Love Joan.

Your Barney is a cutie for sure.  The honeysuckle is beautiful.  I have a bush in front of the porch and a vine on the side.  They do smell lovely when blooming.  It seems I get more leaves than blooms though. 'On Ya' - ma

I've always thought your Barney and Nin are a couple of little crackers.  Such good compny for each other, and for you too.  I think I'm missing something here though as I didn't get any honeysuckle picture, just one photo of Nin at the top.

Nice to hear Nin is back to her old self. Dogs just know things dont they, its amazing. The honeysuckle is just beautiful. There is a vine that is just a weed...but yours here looks like the real deal. I never knew there was a bush til I recently saw them at Lowes. They even had some dark pink ones can you believe that? Never saw those before for sure. :) LOve, Kelly

I am glad Nin is feeling better.   Barney is a faithful companion.   I need to get out in the heat and am letting the kitchen warm up without the A.C. running so it is now 84F.    I keep the cabin/kitchen cooled and less humid by running it only a few hours during the day.   It had been cooler.     My back hurt from working on the roof doing shingling and I then hired my neighbor and instructed her to nail the shingles so I did not have to bend and get up and down so much.    I hand her the shingles and cut them for her and it saves my back.    Right now I am getting the other side started after I work on getting the rust out of the fuel line and new filter on my little truck.    It has rust in the tank.    My back is doing better today after allowing it to rest.     I hope things are doing well for you.      mark

Barney is a sweetheart.  You can see the concern on his little face.  That honeysuckle bush is huge.  My mother had one when I was small.  We always pulled those stem things out of the middle and sucked the sweetness.   xx Chris
