Nice few hours out

We went to Wolterton Hall on Sunday ~ they had an "Organic Garden Day" there and it was really enjoyable ~ lots of stalls selling lots of different things ~ Jewellery ~perfumes ~ soaps ~  One chap who was selling Honey was so interesting telling us where he takes his bees to get different flavoured honey ~ stalls selling Organic Vegetables ~ and of course there were the Aplaca's : Which I found fascinating ~

Do you remember my bank messing up my account last time I wrote ~ when I lost my plastic ~ well the following day a Huge big boquet was delivered for me from my Bank  with apologies ~ someone had managed to alter my Post code and aparently I had not received any mail from them since last November ( I hadn't even noticed :o) with on line and telephone banking you can keep in touch ~ so really no need for snail mail ~ until you are waiting the delivery of a new plastic banking card that dosn't arrive ~ :o)  then you realise something isn't quite right :o)

Alpaca socks sound cosy, Ally.  What a lovely outing; little boys and tractors are inseparable.I feel I should send the fraud department of my bank some flowers - it's twice they've had to recompense me for mis-use - very quickly too!

Hi Ally,

How lovely of the bank to send you flowers, I`ve not heard of that happening before.  It looks like a really nice day out at Wolerton Hall, I love things like that and know I would have enjoyed it too. I think Alpacas are really sweet and they are becoming more and more popular on farms nowadays. I was told that honey made locally is really good for hayfever sufferers. Apparently its because the bees collect pollen from the flowers in your area so you are treating like with like, so to speak.

Love Sandra xxxx

Your pics reminded me of Widdecombe Fair in my home county of Devon! I went there a few years ago and found it was great fun!
I have never ever heard of a Bank apologising and sending flowers to a client.....wow!! Love Conniexx

I hadn't remembered what an Alpaca looked like so I am glad you posted the photos which look great.    What little boy does not love a big tractor.    My Grandpa took me for rides at the old farm that I can just barely remember from being about 5 years old or younger.   Then I was picked up by some people coming to the farm auction as my Grandparents sold the farm to move to the city for retirement.   I had wandered off and they picked me up as I was walking down the road.   I did that another time and ended up in the bottom of a construction site basement digging and was brought home by the police.    I don't remember either time.    I am glad the bank was apologetic and sent you the flower's and everything is correct.   mark

Flowers from the bank?  How lovely.  I'm getting my new car in a couple of weeks and at one time you used to get a bouquet from the dealer, which made you feel ever so special picking up the car, but they didn't last time.  Glad you got all sorted out though.

OH I had to open up those pictures and look at them up close Ally. I love alpacas. They are so wonderful. Looks like it was a nice day out. I am glad you were able to get things straightened out with your mail and the bank. One of the more frustrating things that shouldnt go wrong. I hope your feeling well and enjoying the weather. How is that pheasant pair doing? Love, Kelly

Hi Ally - we have quite a growing 'Alpaca' community here in Cornwall, Camels too !!
Nice touch by your Bank, but how worrying all this identity fraud is, do be careful.

Wow!  Now THAT'S something nice from a bank.  NatWest never did anything like that for us.  Sigh.  But they were good about increasing our overdraft limit.

Ally, I love those alpaca's.  I've seen commercials on the television for them but never knew anyone that had them or ever saw any anywhere.  The wool is supposed to be so nice from them.  That organic honey sounds really good.  Now, isn't that amazing that the bank sent you flowers?  Nice to hear that there are still personal touches around.  Hope you have a nice weekend!  Love xx Chris

I've seen lamas before, but I've never heard of an alpaca. They'd never survive here in the wilds of Texas - - they're much too cute!

Ally, would you believe I just go an alert for this entry DAYS after you posted, what on earth are aol. up to?  I love the Alpacas, adorable.  Glad you got things sorted out with your bank.  Mine has never sent me a bunch of flowers even when once they put a large amount of money that belonged to me into somebody's else's account.  All I got was an apology over the phone.

I'm amazed your bank sent you flowers. You must have pots of money for them to take such an interest. ;O)
The alpacas look nice but I bet they spit - just like camels. I wouldn't want to get too close, just in case.

congrats on being a guest editor's pick; that was fascinating thinking that a bee keeper would have to take his bees to different places to get different flavors of honey; never thought about that before

Hi Ally! I love alpacas; when I went to Peru I held a baby one and had a photo taken with it. They're gorgeous and so soft! My friend in Devon has a small herd of them. I loved your photos, all kids love tractors don't they? I remember when I was small, we lived next to a field and the farmer was always out in his tractormuch to the delight of the kids in our street! That was nice of the bank to send flowers to you!
