visit to the Seaside

I think at long last I have managed to load some pictures ~ I may have won my battle with 'File Manager'

The Photo's are some taken last month ~ the weather was really horrible ~ the rain only eased off  for a short time ~

We didn't have any trouble finding a parking space though ~ as all the sensible people had stayed at home ~

Am now going to try and comment on some journals that I have not been able to ~ I have been able to read them OK  ~

Thanks for showing us the pictures Ally, I could almost feel the damp and cold!  Yes it is the 'sensible' people that stay at home but they do miss out on a lot of things don't they?!

I wondered where you had gone Ally LOL!! I asked Leigh yesterday if you were ok!!
Well what a nasty day you had weather wise on your day out at the seaside. This seaside where I live the sun has shone throughout November and all December so far.Even today it is lovely and sunny. Strange though for December.I enjoyed the snaps they were very good. The mall looked lovely Santa's Grotto. I havn't been to see him yet,but if I do get there I will sit on his knee and have my picture taken with him.Hope File Manager works then LOL!! so I can put it in my entry Haa!! I had to laugh at the parking space paragraph .Were you the only ones out there? Take care enjoyed this entry very nice.Glad AGY got you there and back safely.

Love the pics of the seaside Ally!  That is something I love about Britain...the seaside!  Although on a bleak day it can't be too pleasant!  Glad to see you back posting!

Ohhhh i like bleak, rainy days by the sea...I love seeing the water all rough and find it far more interesting than flat calm...Nice to see you back :o)   Caff xxxx

There's something haunting about the seaside in winter.....everything shut up and deserted, and you've captured it perfectly, Ally.  Bunny x

We too had a wet and windy weekend at the seaside but it did make for some stunning photography,as you've already seen. I like the grotto in Norwich, much better than the rubbish one in Worcester, it's so bad I'd be embarrassed to photo it.

Good that File Manager is working for you!     The West Runton and East Rinton photos are good with the comment about 'Bleak House' lol.    The pavilion is huge!     I also enjoyed seeing Holt.     It is cold here today and my back is doing a bit better since the weather has changed.    Tonight will be very cold and I have my 'heat tape' that goes under the pipe insulation that I will plug in to keep the pipe from freezing.    Has there been any progress on the conversion of the house that Lyn will be having remodeled on your property?     Salty is warm by my bed just a few feet from the woodburner.     He will get his run later today in his pen and then back inside for food and warmth.     mark

Photos of my grandfather mailed from
London to my father in Australia when
I was very young, show a dignified gent
wearing a suit with vest and tie. My grandfather
was on vacation. Now I've got it! He was dressing
for the inclement weather.  I always wondered.
(He was somewhere at the seaside.)

Barry
It's the damn (blessed?!) Warm Gulf
Stream, flowing North which does that to your
weather, but without it you'd all freeze to death and
there's be no Palm trees in all of England.

LOL, we non-sensible ones sometimes get in on the ground floor of great deals, like empty malls in which we can walk unencumbered!

Lovely pictures, Ms Ally, as always. Glad AOL was kind enough to allow you to post them!

Everything looks so English country/seaside I love it!  You must be in a beautiful part of the country.  I love the architecture and all the green.  Is there much surf on the beaches?

Ally, AOL has just been atrocious lately.  I'm barely getting any alerts.  The sea is lovely, rain or not.  I just love the quaint little towns and villages in the UK.  Those little pet toys are adorable and do look so real.  I'm glad you were finally able to show us your pictures.  Love xx Chris

Hello Ally,  I`ve not had an alert from you for ages, I must check that I haven`t turned you off by mistake.  I decided to visit via my journal because I didn`t want you to think that I was ignoring you.  I enjoyed looking at your photos of the seaside. I hope you had a good time even if the weather could have been better for you.  I`ll be back again much sooner than my last visit! :o)
