What I have been up to these last few days

AOL absolutely won't let me add any pictures today ~ I have lost my entry 3 times already ~ I did manage to begin with to get pictures on then I edited them and was just about to push save and I got disconnected ~ Now I am back and have added the pictures ~ but it won't let me edit them now ~ but I will come back later in the mean time please help yourself to as many grapes as you can eat ~

I decided to let Snoopy do the typing for me ~

Went to the dentist last Thursday ~ have got to have a filling ~ have two appointments for that in November ~ I will try not to think about it until the day comes ~

Friday went to Sheringham it was a plesant day with people in t~ shirts and shorts ~ just don't seem like October ~ it was very busy there ~ must be late holiday makers ~

Went to the egg farm on the way home (and the prices have gone up) only by 30pence but up never~the~less  they do cost more ~ but they are fresh and so much nicer than those from the Supermaret ~

On the way home we decided to go the the "Red Lion" for lunch ~ it has been quite a while since we did that so was really enjoyable ~ and it saved us having to cook ~

Took some photographs in Sheringham will post them when AOL lets me do so ~ (well aol has let me post the pictures but won't let me edit them) ~ but I wont give up I shall come back and let you know what they are all about ~ (Managed to edit pictures today:o)

I feel like a Duck out of water LOL ~

Dear Ally, It seems you have had a busy week.  Its interesting that you have had trouble with your photos, its probably me, I have messed up the AOL pictures with all my shenanigans, ha ha!  Sorry to hear about your fillings, I am a real coward about the dentist, I have to go too as I am suffering a bit now.  Look forward to seeing your Sheringham photos.  Terry

Thank you for the grapes! I ate them all, sorry but you did say help yourself! AOL really annoy me when I can't add captions. It looks like you've had a busy week. Just forget about the dentist till next month! Have a lovely week! Jeannette xx

good to see your entry. I will make any excuse to postpone my dentist appointment now I have to face up to it next month. I get soooo nervous about it. Paula

Hi Ally,

I would have helped myself to the grapes but Jeannette got there first and ate them all...lol!  I`m not aat all surprised that people are still taking holidays with the fab weather we`ve been having, who knows what it`ll be like next week or even tomorrow.  There`s nothing like a nice fresh farm egg, straight from the chicken and not the supermarket, who knows how old they are by the time we buy them.

I just loved the pictures that you included in your journal this time.  My sister-in-law once lived in Sheringham and really enjoyed living there.  Her husband was a bank manager there.

Ally, it sounds like the AOL Halloween Gremlins were trying to get your photos! I'm glad they didn't succeed, because I enjoyed seeing them. You've managed to bring a part of your world to me in Texas. That wayward hot air balloon reminds me of the time one landed in my back yard, when I was living in the Missouri Ozarks. Luckily, no one was hurt. By the way, I would rather do ANYTHING than go to the dentist. I'd even take a trip in a hot air balloon.......

Ally
Sorry you have had such a hard time getting this posted.  The pictures were great!  Your grapes do look inviting!  I really enjoyed the shot of you in the mirror, LOL.  Next time tilt up a bit so we can see your face.  It looks like you are having fun with the camera and we are the lucky ones because we get to see these glimpses into your corner of the world.

Ally    I am on dial-up so I am downloading your photos to view.    I got the first one to look at and it is magnificent stone work.     I enjoy viewing architectural structure and examining ever facet of detail.     My architectural pursuit of my addition ( extension ) will have to wait as I only had 2 hours of good sleep.    My worker will have to wait until I feel better if he comes by today before I will work with him again.    Last week he crawled under my cabin and tied up insulation.   He also raised one corner and put concrete blocks, a steel plate, and a block of treated wood as it had been rotted through and needed to be prevented from further loss.     Hope your dental appointment goes well and remedies the teeth.    mark

Hey Ally .... glad you got those pics posted.  That stone house is gorgeous, isnt it?  We have a neighborhood not too far from here, where the street is all stone houses, built by a Russian immigrant in the 30's.  Very different from all the mostly Spanish style architecture that surrounds it.  By the way, I would love to browse in that store with all the teapots ... I am a teapot collector !   Take care, and have a happy weekend !  Tina

Ally, those Snoopy's are just too cute!  AOL has been a total nightmare this past week.  I have DSL but you would never know it.  Everything is slower than slow.  I couldn't upload pictures the other day.  I couldn't send mail.  What a pain.  I'll be back to check your pictures out when you get them up and everything is cooperating.  xx  Chris

Ally the pictures are super.  I love the stone house and the Ice Cream Cone and especially the way you took all the shots of the hot air balloon.  Isn't it fully a lot of folks are seeing different things in the sky this week, or was that just me and a few others???  The grapes looked so yummy I could taste and smell them.  I guess I was lucky tonight, maybe it does pay to be up after everyone else is asleep.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving a note in my journal.
