Lyn had to be at the hospital this morning at 7.15 ~ she was told last night they didn't think she would have her operation until later today ~ at least not until after 2pm. ~ but the person booked in earlier apparently was algergic to latex  so Lyn took her place ~ so she was in the operating theatre really early Tom telephoned me at about 9.15 giving me this good news.

He called again about 2 1/2 later to say she was back on the Ward very sleepy but OK ~ they did do Keyhole surgery and with every bit of luck and no complications she will be able to come home to~night ~ (Bringing the Gall Stones with her) ~ :o)

Thankyou for all your good wishes for her I really do appreciate them and I know she does as well ~

Ally
That is wonderful news!
Tell her she can leave those gall stones at the hospital, though, LOL!  Just kidding!  Let her know I hope she is back up on her feet again soon and back to a normal life again.  She has been so brave to wait out this operation for so long.
What a relief!  The carvings look like great additions to her collection, and I enjoyed the photo of the partridge, too.  Take care and God Bless!

Hi Ally,  I hope all goes well for Lyn so she can be home with you as soon as possible. I didn`t realise you could have gall stone surgery and be home the same day, things certainly have changed for the better. I`m thinking of you both.

(((((hugs))))))

Love Sandra xxxx

Great news Ally, how relieved you must be.
We have a gallstone somewhere; it looks like a nutmeg!  Must be nearly 30 years since the op.  Quite a performance in those days.
Get well wishes to you both.
Love,
Bunny xx

I'm so glad that is over and done with. In about a week she'll be feeling good as new.  My daughter had that surgery too and was back to work after 3 days.   I had the old fashioned kind as at that time they didn't have the new ways they do today.  That took a good 6 weeks recovery.  How things have changed.  'On Ya' - ma

so glad to hear her surgery went well. im taking that she had her gallbladder removed since she got to bring home her stones.
good thing they could do it with small incisions. i remember mine will be 2 years ago next month i think
hope she feels fast and that is the last of her problems. i remember after healing what a huge relief not ever having a gallbladder attack again was!
loved the pics
take care

That has to be a relief to have the stones removed at last.   I hope Lyn is having little pain following the surgery.   It seems like the 'keyhole' operation is an advancement in not having to make a large incision.   I enjoyed the wooden ducks.   mark

So glad it is all over now for Lyn I know from my DIL that she will be pretty sore for a few day. Lisa just lay on the couch during the day but she was well even though when walked like a half shut knife.  Best wishes to Lyn. Love Joan.

Dear Ally, I had to go back in time to see if Lyn had her surgery while I was gone on our road trip.  Sure enough she did, the day we were at the San Diego Zoo.  I'm sure by now she's back to 100% and back to her normal life.   Linda in Washington state
