This and That

Tomorrow Lyn goes to the Hospital for her pre assessment checkup and next Tuesday she will be in to have her operation ~ it seems an eternity since she got her date and I know she will be glad to get it behind her

~

Me I'm doing OK ~ glad Lyn let you know I had an accident ~ I havn't been able to type very much ~ certainly not as much as I would like ~ and havn't been able to drive so Tom has been driving my car rather than letting it stand idle ~ and he and Lyn take me anywhere I need to go~

As for the accident I went to see my Doctor and because the bruising was so bad he thought I had broken something and sent me off to the hospital ~ The Nurse at the surgery did attend to the cut on my arm ~ well I am glad to say I didn't break any bones ~ I bruised my shoulder and back and cut my arm ~ my right knee was black and blue ~ and I had a real good Black eye ~ which is now a nice shade of purple ~ the bruising is slowly fading ~ so hopefully it won't be too long before I am back driving ~ I certainly didn't feel ill through all of this just very very sore ~

At the hospital while waiting to see a Doctor this Big man came in with his wife and plonked himself down on the chair next to me he missed hitting my shoulder by inches ~ I think I would have hit him had he made contact with me :o)  well if I didn't I think Lyn would have ~

Glad to hear you're on the mend Ally. It does seem like ages since Lyn got her appointment. I hope it all goes well next week. Also hope you're not kept hanging around too long at the hospital tomorrow. Those assessments have huge queues.

I am so glad you are alright..though I can sympathize with the soreness, it can be pretty bad. I remember falling off that top step last year...sore was an understatement! Finally, Lyn will get some relief...I am so happy to hear this news. I know she will be glad to get back to living without pain and discomfort. Be sure to keep us posted and let us know how things are with her. Have a good Tuesday and hope you heal up fast. :) Hugs, Kelly

It does sound very painful Ally. Thank goodness that man didn`t hit your poor shoulder, I wouldn`t have wanted to be in his shoes if he had!  I do hope that you will be back behind the wheel very soon, it`s awful when you can`t drive anywhere. I hope everything goes well for Lyn, she`s had to wait so long for this op.  I`m sure she`s going to feel so much better once its over and done with. Take care my friend. :o)

Ally have you been refered for physio at all???? Am still unable to drive much :o( It's the seatbelt that's the main problem...Am ok in passenger seat because seatbelt goes over the left shoulder...Seatbelt on right shoulder is ARGHH...I did buy one of those padded things for putting over it but it's not really made a difference...If i hoover, drive, iron, wash my hair, type too long and some other things then it swells up again...It's so cheesing me off (polite version) Oh and if anyone brushes against it or bumps into it or clamps a hand on it i could thump them big time...And i still can't carry anything heavy...We're a right pair you know <g> I hope you're not as long as me in getting back to normal...Hope Lyns op goes well too   Caff xxxxxx

Ally
The pictures of your property from the air are very interesting, thanks for including them in the post.  I'm glad you are starting to feel less sore and that the bruising is starting to fade.  Hopefuly you will be yourself again in no time at all.  Finally Lyn is getting her pre assessment with less than a week until her operation.  What a relief!  It's been a long time coming and I hope it all goes well for her.  Give Barney and Nin a good petting for me.  Take care!

I love helicopters, I've done three trips in them, two over Hawaii and one over the Grand Canyon. Your property looks good from a birds' eye view! Get well soon. Ally. Enjoyed your pictures from the sky. Helicopters kind of frighten me, too. All the best with Lyn's operation, also - Sending nothing but good wishes your way, from across the pond.
Sincerely, Rose (from Vancouver)

Goodness, Ally, I had to reinstall my AOL a month or so ago and lost all my alerts.  I didn't realize you had a nasty accident.  I'm so glad you are on the mend.  I'm defintiely resetting the alert again.  I'm glad Lyn came through her surgery.  My son had keyhole surgery for his gall bladder when he was 17.  It quit functioning.  Hope her recuperation is smooth.  Love xx Chris
