Update

Saturday 23rd September 16.15

Tom will be home by now ~They only have minimum staff on at weeekends so they send home as many as they can ~ I am glad to say that all the tests so far have been negative ~ he has to return to the hospital tomorrow Sunday for an injection to thin his blood ~ (They are treating him for a small clot of blood on his Lung)  just to be on the safe side ~ then he goes  back again on Monday for that Scan which they have as yet to do ~ Not sure if they will keep him in ~ I just want to thank everyone for their comments ~ unfortunately I accidently pushed the wrong button and deleted my last entry (Well you know what an idiot I am )  but to everyone who commented ~you know who you are ~ Thankyou   Ally x

I shall be back to reading Journals and commenting as from tomorrow all being well

So far, so good. But I bet you're 'holding
your breath.' His being sent home is a blessing.
They wouldn't dare have done that if they
weren't quite optimistic. Or so I pray mightily.
They sound as though they are all being
thorough, and cautious, and that too is a blessing.

God bless,
Barry

Ally, I will definitely keep Tom in my prayers.  The hospitals in the US dump people out as fast as they can.  It's all due to our insurance carriers and them not wanting to pay for hospital stays.  Hope Tom continues to heal and the injections help him.  LOL at your deleting the entry.  I am a total computer idiot.  Take your time getting around and visiting.  I'm always behind.  xx  Chris

No you're not an idiot. Anyone of us would be the same way with worry about a grandhild. Still praying he will be okay. Paula

Thank you for the update Ally.
That is good news that the test results have all come back negative, and that the Dr's were happy enough to send Tom home.  Hoping that the scan goes well on Monday, and that your Tom will be back to full health very very soon.  We're all with you Ally, thinking of you.  Take care my dear.

I'm so glad to hear this update Ally, I've been worried about you and Tom. I'm pleased to hear he was allowed home, they wouldn't have let him out if they were worried so it's looking better. I hope we hear more negative results for the MRI scan on Monday. No, you're not an idiot Ally, you probably weren't thinking straight with all the upset with Tom. Now you have a nice day tomorrow, just relax and try to rest, I bet you've been running non-stop since friday! Take care, Jeannette xx

I am glad to read that your Grandson is doing fine.    I had a pulmonary embolism in Sept. of 2000 following my knee replacement surgery.     I could not breath with the lung and underwent many tests and treated with blood thinner for several years following.     I was extremely weak and did not feel well.     The doctors have caught the clot in time and that is very important.    Best wishes on his continued improvement.     mark
