a pint down the pub

It has been a lovely day today the Sun shining and warm just  a perfect day ~ Lyn had to nip down the Road to post a letter and when she came home she said "come on Mum lets go out and have a drink" too nice an evening to stay indoors ~ so we went to The Parson Woodfordes Lyn has been there before but I never have ~ and it was such a friendly place so thought I would share it with you

Looks to me as though you've found a lovely way to close out the evening. I haven't been to so quaint a place as that in such a long time. There are far too many cookie-cutter chain taverns now, with very little charm here.

Thanks for a peek inside!

It looks a beautiful old pub Ally! There aren't many around now that are traditional old inns, most have been turned into theme pubs. I'm so glad you still have this one to visit! Did you read those old papers? Have a great week! Jeannette xx  http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels

What a lovely place and quaint.  I would love to stop and have a drink and relax there.  I love the feather under the glass.  Sounds like a wonderful day, Ally.  We also had some lovely weather here today.  Can't wait to hear more about the pub.  xx  Chris

The fireplace looks warm and inviting on a cold winter's day.    The owner has taken care to give attention to detail and it must have a nice feeling being surrounded by objects of interest and framed artwork.   I just had a prune juice mixed with diet citrus soda followed by a blueberry yogurt.    They made for an interesting combination, lol .    mark

It is always so fun to go someplace new and non-traditional!  We don't have anything like that where I live, all boring chain restaurants. So sad :(
