House sitting

The 31st of August was Tom and Cressie's Wedding anniversary ~ so they have gone off to Cornwall for a nice long week end ~

Lyn is looking after Sammie ~ Jake and "Blue" their dog ~ So is staying at their house ~

Amber and Abbie are staying with their other Nanny and Grandad ~

It will be the first time "T" and "C" have been away from the children for any amount of time ~ so the rest will do them both good ~ and they text us saying the weather was quite good ~

Received a post card yesterday from Linda in sunny Washington ~ thank you Linda that was a lovely surprise to receive it yesterday

The white band at the bottom I think is something the post office put on it and I couldn't remove it without spoiling the card so left it there ~

It looks like Barney and Nin are settled down for a comfy nap on the bed.  Glad Tom and Cressie were able to get away for their anniversary.  Lyn was nice to go and stay to look after the kids and the dog for them.  The postcard is nice, very colorful town.  I hope you are doing well, Althea.

It will be so nice for Tom and Cressie to get away from the children just for a while. Love you postcard I wonder why the postoffice did that to it.  Love Joan.

The post card is lovely, strange about the white tape, cant think why the post office would need to put that on. Its nice "T and C" could go away for their anniversary, my brother and his wife have just gone to Cuba for theirs. Its alright for some isnt it! I need a holiday! Glad your OK anyway, I'll catch up on all your recent entries when I get home from Wales, Danielle xx

Are those the laziest dogs you've ever seen or what? Whenever you post pics of them they're usually sprawled out on the sofa or the bed. I dunno, the name 'terrier' hardly applies, lol.
Don't blame me for the white tape on the postcard. ;O) B. x

Thank you for letting me share your journal.

The dogs seem to be having a wonderful time.

By for now,

Hi Ally, hope Tom & Cress have a nice anniversary break.  LOL at the photos of Nin & Barney, wouldn't it be great to be a dog or cat and laze around all day?

I got the same card Ally and I was able to peel off that little white strip with no problems.  Wonder why it was there, the one I received from Lisa, also in America did not have one!  Have a great weekend.

Hi Ally, that tape should just come right off.   That is actually your address in US Postal Service code.  But I don't  know why they do that.  I'll find out  tho and write an entry about it. Your card took a long time to get there. I mailed them all the same day, Monday August 14th from Skagway.  I know.... I bet a few of the mailmen along the way took yours home to read to their kids.   Glad it finally got there.    Linda in WA

Barney and Nin are enjoying the couch and Nin is catching up on his sleep I can see, lol !    Salty was up to his growling and acting silly last night next to me on the floor as I was watching TV and laying down.    He sticks his rump up in the air with his head sideways on the floor while I pat him and reach for his bone or his paws.     He needs his dew claw on his one hind foot clipped as it is getting closer to becoming ingrown.    He will not let me hold him to clip it so I will have to get help to hold him.     He likes digging holes everywhere in his pen and loves to chase cricket's and other small insects and eats them.     The cows are interested in him but his is afraid of their size and does not want to approach them.    I am resting and reading and will find out the results of my MRI to my lumbar spine tomorrow.    It is painful and about all I can do is rest and then I get up but not for very long and have to lay down again.    This has happened to me many times since my injury in 1973 when I try to do physical activity working.    Hopefully the test will show why my spine is having this problem.    mark
