Christmas Bazaar

Yesterday we went to the Village Christmas Bazaar - it was held in what used to be many years ago the Village School - It is a Tiny building just one room - a small kitchenette an entrance hall and a Toilet...It was freezing cold in there, I only hope they had some kind of heat when the children had to go to School there.

It really isn't big enough to hold a Bazaar there, but they had quite a lot of Stalls.

Guess the weight of the Christmas cake.

Pin the Nose on Rudolph.

Raffles

Home made cake stall

and a couple of other stalls selling nick Knacks of all sorts.

Plants and Books

So you see they did cram a lot into that little School room.

We bought some Raffle tickets - had a guess at the weight of the cake. and bought some other odds and ends.

We then sat down to have a cup of Coffee...When the Cell Phone rang..

It was Cressie my Grand-daughter - she had raging toothach and needed a lift to the Emergency Dentists.

So we hurridly left the Bazaar - didn't even drink our coffee..

When we eventually arrived home we got a call from someone at the Village Hall telling us we had won a couple of prizes in the Raffle.

They said they would deliver them when the Bazaar finished - we live on the same Road as the Village Hall - so could have walked down there to collect them,  but it was raining so gratefully accepted their offer.

When they arrived about an hour later we had won a Huge Bag of Toffees - and a huge Bag of Chocolate Christmas tree decorations also a lovely little tray decorated with Bluetits...

It turned out there was nothing wrong with Cressies teeth..The pain she had was caused by Neuralgia...So pain killers helped her, and she is much better today...

I love Christmas Bazaars and have only had time to go to one. That was the one for hospital employees and volunteers where I work.  There's always some unique stuff to buy and/or look at. Congratulations on your win ! Happy to hear that Cressie is feeling better.

Basaar's are lovely they always take you back in time Ally, haven't been to one for a while, you've put the thought in my head to seek one out.  Well done on winning.  Ouch for Cressie, neuralgia is just as painful as toothache, hope the pain goes.  Loving your robin, a fave feathered friend of mine. Hello Ally

Poor Cressie i know how she feels, the painkillers will help and she will be better in a few days time.  Robins are magical i think and you know they only go in gardens where special people live.... Mmmm its true, and i bet they go in your garden Ally.    Lots of Christmas Bazaar's going on now isn't there...... they always remind me of my childhood!

Sound like you nearly had a great day but toothache is a terrible thing.  That was lucky winning the raffle prizes but watch out for the bag of toffees. Love Joan.

your luck was with you.  I had to look up the meaning of Neuralgia.   Acute spasms running on the pathway of nerves.   It must have been painful to mistake it for a bad toothache.   Hope she has gotten better.    mark

Christmas Bazaars are always so much fun.  I've missed a lot this year, have my mom here with me who you can't drag around to Bazaars and so missed these this year.  Hope the prizes were just what you were wishing for.
