picture of air raid shelter being dug out - that we spent so many hours down during the second world war.......the pagoda has long gone but the bandstand is still there.

very interesting Ally. I can remember that in the 1950's everyone was building underground bomb shelters for their families. My dad didn't do that but he instructed us what to do incase we were attacked here in Western Washingotn with all out militray bases in the area. He said in Europe during World War II one ofthe saddest things he saw were the way families were seperated. So we had a family pact that if we were attacted we would all head anyway we could for my aunt & uncles place in Yakima over in Eastern Washington. And there we could have been reunited. Linda
