Has Summer Gone already

It has been so long since I made an entry in my journal I hardly remember what to do :o)

One thing I forgot to mention was that I got my hearing back after I had seen the practioner nurse who kindly cleared my ears for me ~ it was awful not being able to hear properly ~

I had a wonderful time staying with my Sister Joy she is such a JOY to be with it is true what they say about Sisters they are always there for you ~ when I had Cancer she was there for me fighting for me in my corner ~ making sure I did not give up ~

We didn't get out much but had lot's of visitors ~ as she lives in the heart of Norwich all the family calls in at some time during the week ~

So it was nice to catch up with everyone ~

We did find the owners of those two little dogs and they came and collected them and were so happy to have them back ~ to tell the truth I would have loved to keep both of them ~ they were a delight :o)

Hi Ally,

It's lovely to see an entry from you again and the photos are beautiful!  I'm so glad the little dogs were claimed, I wonder how they escaped in the first place though!  Love, Pat   http://journals.aol.co.uk/pm71blackfen/ramblings-from-pat/

Hi Ally, x

I knew the budlea was also called the buttefly bush. Now I know why.
Great pics, and I'm glad you managed to find the owners of the dogs. I wonder how Nin and Barney would have reacted if you'd taken them home and kept them.

Sorry Ally, don't like butterfly bushes!!!  Love the doggies though. They knew whose door to come to didn't they?  Hope you're well and happy.

Hey there Ally,
The butterfly bush is gorgeous!!!!  I'm so glad that you can hear better now!  Joy sounds like a wonderful sister.  I'm so glad that you got to visit her!  I'm glad you found the owners of the doggies.  Although, I know they would have been very happy with you!

Glad you had such a good time with your sister, that is something I never had and always wanted.  So happy the owners claimed the little doggies back, yes, they are adorable and I can understand why you were tempted.

P.S. Meant to say, beautiful photos.  I have only seen white butterflies this year, the cabbage variety, nothing else although we had flowers to attract them.  We used to have a buddlei but the garden got so overgrown and it got so large we had to take it out.

Your flowers and butterflys are beautiful.  Apparently they are not bothered by the cool weather you are having.  Those puppies were adorable.  I hope the owners keep them safe and don't let them get loose again.  I'm glad you had a good visit.  It is always nice to be with family.  My sisters are a blessing to me I know.

Summer is not over here.  We actually have better weather in September than we do in June. The only thing I'm noticing is the earlier sunset.  A month ago it didn't go down until around 9pm and now it's 7:30pm when the sun sets in the west.  Happy to hear you had a fun & restful visit with your sister.  Linda in Washington state

Ally, so pl;eased to hear the dogs got back to their owner.  We had a `Monty' terrier for many years, and our daughter has got one now - so, a special bond!
Lovely to hear from you.

I am happy to read that your hearing is back.    I had hearing problems for years, having 3 typanoplasties on my right ear to replace my eardrum.    It finally healed after the third and now has a small perforation which it actually needs to ventilate.     I use grain alcohol drops every now and then in it which unpacks the wax and fights infection.    The grain alcholol will really sting when it gets all the way to the eardrum, but it has keep my ear healthy as it kills infection before it can start.     I see my surgeon, ear doctor, every 6 month's and he cleans my ears that become packed with wax.    I never try to remove the wax any more with a Q-tip, as it pushes the wax further in and am told it is a bad practice.     Thankfully the dogs were returned to their owner's that seem to be very gratefull for your care.    I have been working as hard as I can on my home, but I have learned it is not worth staining my back, though I strain it to the smallest extent.   My worker will be here again this week to help me.    Salty just got a good bath that I hired my neighbor for.    She used flea and another dog product and he smells wonderfull and lays by my bed always.    I too have not been making journal entries as I have been too exhausted.    mark

My spelling should have been 'tympanoplasty', or close to that.    mark

The Buddleia with butterflies are beautiful.    Monty and his buddy (mate :=)) are friendly looking young dogs gone astray.    Resueing them had a great reward in kindness for their owners.      mark

I guess y'all don't ever get really hot weather, even in summer. Now its going to be Fall soon already. I don't mind so much. It has been a good summer and I have enjoyed it. I love the butterflies on the flowers, they are just beautiful. I never doubted that you would make sure those lost pups were taken care of. :) I know the owners were glad they ended up on such a caring kind persons doorstep. :) So glad you had a nice visit with your sister. Love, Kelly

Ally
The pictures of the butterflies and the dogs are great.  Those were two very cute visitors you had there!  It's good to know they are safe again with their owners.

I'm glad you enjoyed the visit with your sister.  I'm sure it was nice to have the family dropping in to visit while you stayed there.

The news about you gaining your hearing back is fantastic.  I am so happy for you and I know you must be relieved.  It is really good to see you posting again.  I hope to see another one soon.
