Lyn

First I would like to say my hand is better from the scalding I accidentally gave it ~ there is just one very small blister that just will not heal ~ but that is not painful now ~

I have not had a lot of time on my computer as Lyn had been really poorly ~ we had to get the Paramedics out to her three times ~ on the third visit they sent her to see a Doctor at the hospital ~ who contacted her own Doctor ~ who has now put her on the priority list ~ so hopefully they will bring her operation forward ~ I do hope so ~ it is dreadful seeing your own daughter in pain and feel helpless to take that pain away ~

Most of my time at the moment is devoted to her so if I am not about know that I am thinking about you ~ and missing you

Oh Ally...I'm so sorry you have to go through this, as does Lyn.   You are not completely helpless...only with her physical pain....you are doing wonders I'm sure, for her fears and emotional pain.
I hope they move the date closer.
Love,
Nancy

My thoughts with you and Lyn that her surgery will be soon and successful.   I am sorry to read about you hand being scalded and am also hopeful that the blister will heal and it is good that it is not painful.  Having the paramedics out 3 times must have been a stressful situation.  I will be looking forward the reading about her surgery being a success and hope that it is as soon as possible again.  I had an ear/sinus infection that kept me sick for a month and was very sick during the holidays.   I would get sicker each time I tried to go outside and do anything in the cold.   The anti-biotic ear drops have healed up the ear infection.   I have been using salt water into my nose and sinus that keeps it ventilated.  That has been the problem with my ear which has had 3 ear drum replacement many years ago.  It always has a small perforation now because when it heals over the sinus does not ventilate it, and it becomes infected.   It had not been a problem for years and made lots of wax, which of course closed it off so every time it would get water or sweat and cold I risked an infection.   I will be using the salt water all the time now in hopes of keeping it ventilated.  Salty is doing fine.  I am having my 3rd spinal epidural this 12/month cycle tomorrow and should get some relief in my back.   Take care of Lyn and yourself and Barney and Nin!  Mark

I keep returnig to your Journal
site dismayed that days and days
have gone by with no yummy Ally
entry. Dummy me missed the oh so
dreadful reasons; honest, I have to
read something eight times before
I really get it. Too much noise in my
upper chambers. In short, I really miss
you! pray for your daughter's recovery,
and quicker healing of your hand.

God bless!!

Ally i can really empathise with Lyn...The pain i had with my gallstones was excruciating...You may not remember but my GP eventually had enough when any medication i was given didn't work (even injections didn't work) and rushed me into hospital as an emergency...And i got the operation 3 days later...They do say it is the closest pain a man will ever get to pain of childbirth LOL...Glad your hand is better now apart from the one small blister...Sometimes they can be a right sod and persist can't they...Hope the weather isn't too bad down with you...Oh and tell Lyn to just scream at them to take the dratted thing out as that worked for me <g>    Caff xxxxxx

Poor Lyn. My Mum had this about 18 months ago, luckily her employer provides private healthcare so she had a scan one day was taken into hospital the following afternoon and had the op the following day. It turned out she had a huge abcess on her gallbladder too so had been in agony.
Tell Lyn to kick up a fuss, surely having the paramedics out 3 times should get her moved right up the list. Fingers crossed it happens soon.

Hi Ally,
I think we have talked before about English robins. I am reading your journal and I love it and all the pictures. My daughter had gall stones and she didn't want surgery so she started  being careful of what she ate and doesn't have any problems right now. Maybe you could talk to a dietitian ands see if she might try this. Anyway I hope she is taken care of soon because my daughter says it is painful. I loved the pictures of the rainbow and I thought the black cat was real. I was going to ask you what breed it was. Keep writing and I will keep reading.

Ally, you and your daughter are in my prayers.  I am just now getting used to the health system over here and I must say, the NHS really do push everything to the limits before doing something about it.  I really hope her surgery gets pushed forward soon!

I'm so sorry Lyn is having to wait so long for her surgery.  I know there are vast differences in Health Care between the USA and other countries.  Here she would have been in the operating room within a couple weeks after the first diagnosis. When I had my first gallbladder attack and after I saw the surgeon, I was practically able to pick the day I wanted my surgery.  Hopefully, she won't have to wait much longer.   And I hope your hand is healed and 100% soon.  Linda in Washington state

I hope that Lyn can get herself taken care of soon. I dont understand how it works over there, having to wait and all. I understand that you want to be there for her and try to comfort her until she can get things taken care of. You know that we are all thinking of you every day. Now that she is on priority how soon is it looking like she will be admitted and operated on? Love, Kelly

I'm sorry to hear Lyn has been so poorly, I hope she gets her operation soon.

Glad your hand is nearly recovered. When I've had a bad scald, I always find the deepest bit takes much longer to heal than the rest, I'm sure that will soon go but be careful to keep it very clean.

Linda.
