Bits of that and bits of this

Just looked at the date of my last entry into my journal ~ I cannot believe that amount of time has elapsed since I last wrote here ~

December 6th Lyn went to see her consultant and was told her operation would be done within the next 5 months  ~ maybe earlier ~ if there is a cancellation ~ time will tell ~ she is coping well that is the main thing ~

Lyn went to Babysit the other Saturday night when Tom and Cress went to London to celebrate a family members Pearl wedding anniversary  ~ we forgot to take anything out of the freezer for Sunday lunch ~ so we cheated just a little bit ~ there is a butchers just down the road that opens Sunday and sell ready cooked meat ~ gravy included ~ we bought a joint of beef and it was cooked to perfection (May do that again:o)

Earlier this month my Great Niece gave birth to a little girl ~ Eliza Ruby ~ havn't met her yet but will be doing that very soon ~ "that makes me a Great Great Auntie :o)"

Have been keeping up with reading journals I like to know what is going on in JLand ~ I hope anyone with health problems soon feel better  ~ there does seems to be a lot of bugs going round ~

I am looking forward to Christmas it is a time of the year I love ~ getting together with other family members ~ missing terribly those who are no longer with us but always remembering them with love and affection ~

Have been out and about Christmas shopping ~ that is just about finished ~ went to Fakenham and yes I did visit the Chocolate Factory again !!!!! ~ I should weigh a Tonne but unfortunately I do not put weight on easily ~ it really is just as hard as trying to lose weight ~

Ally
Sorry it is so cold there right now.  Is the picture of the front of your cottage as you see it from the road?  I'm glad Lyn is coping well while she waits for the operation.  It just seems so long to have to wait for a health issue!  I'm glad you posted to let us know she is doing as well as can be expected.  Yes, looking forward to sharing time with family and close friends is what Christmas should be about.  Glad your shopping is about wrapped up, (no pun intended).  I haven't seen any recent pics of Nin and Barney, perhaps next time you post you might show us another one or two.  Merry Christmas to you and Lyn and the rest of your family!  Hugs!

Lovely to hear from you again, Ally.
Nothing wrong with a bit of cheating; I do it all the time.  I know the feeling of waking in the small hours, and realising that I have forgotten to take tomorrow's joint out of the freezer!
What lovely names the new baby has.  There seems to be a glut of Annabels just now.
A very happy Christmas to you and Lyn; hope her op comes soon.

Hello Ally,  Five months is a long time to wait but I suppose it can`t be helped, I hope Lyn is well.  Not long to the big day, like you I`m almost finished shopping and hope tomorrow will be my last day of present buying. Eliza Ruby are lovely names for a little girl, the old fashioned names are very popular nowadays aren`t they? You are so lucky not putting on weight easily, I`m pretty much the same thankfully, I love a bit of chocolate myself...lol! :o)

Love Sandra xxxx

Hi Ally I hope Lynn gets a cancellation soon but glad to hear she is coping.
I like the idea of the butcher being open on a Sunday if it were me I'd cheat every week. The chocolate Factory sounds yummy I'd never leave ...lol
Thanks for all the comments over the last few weeks.
Take care

Yasmin

Wow, she has to wait 5 months...?!?  That's awful.   I love all your holiday graphics...especially the sparkling little church.  Very pretty.  Well, it's ok...chocolate is part of the holiday tradition, in fact I heard somewhere that it's mandatory !  LOL   Linda in Washington state

Oh, felt cold looking at that snowy scene.  Up here it is that type of cold when you expect snow............it is lovely to look at but to drive or walk in (apart from fun walking and messing about), forget it!  Glad to hear that Lyn is coping well and I hope her date soon comes through.  Hope you and your family have a magical Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Sorry that Lyn has to wait that long, hope she feels ok.  We do not have any snow now but it is forcast for tomorrow, or could be tonight, the weather men are off all the time.  I love Christmas too, but I'm wearing out this year, we may get our tree today, then I'll feel better.  Thank you so much for visiting my journal and your nice comments.  Have a good day.  Joni

Yes it has been a while since you posted! Good to see you back. :) I hope Lyn can stand it and manage for a while. Five months is a long time to wait when you are in pain and discomfort like that. We do find some of the yummiest foods that way, by accident when we have to get out and get something. Sounds delicious! Congratulations to you and your great niece on the birth of that sweet baby. I will be going out shopping tomorrow, hopefully it wont be too crowded if I go early. Again, good to see you posting. :)

I hope there is a cancellation, and Lyn is able to get her surgery, earlier.

Congratulations! Great Great Auntie....wow! How wonderful.

It seems a long time for Lyn to wait with the annoyance of pain, thoughts for her.  I'm a great great Aunty more than 15 times now.......it makes me feel old and confusion when all the little ones are together as to who's who.......but it's great at the same time, so many congratulations. Rache

Oh that sounds like a good thing though eat all the chocolate you want and don't gain...all I have to do is look at it and I gain a pound, not kidding. Enjoy the holidays and all the love it brings...love, Sandi

My silence is inexplicable even to myself
so I won't make up one.  I have been
taking photos of stray cats - very hard to do
when they are wild and most suspicious
of humans - to serve in an entry about cats.
Well, you see, cats are popular Online so I thought I'd
try writing AS YOU LIKE IT; you know, in immitation
of The Bard. Ha ha!!!

Merry Christmas!!

Love,
Barry
