I have been having a battle all week with file manager ~ he just will not let me in to edit pictures ~ I do not know as yet if I have been successful this time ~

But we will see when I save this entry ~ but I do have my doubts ~ come on aol please be good to me I have been ever so patient and really good this week ~

The pictures if ever they do appear are a day out in Norwich I had during the week ~ and it was really a lovely day which I did so want to share with you ~

We went into the Mall and it looked so lovely with the Christmas decorations being put up ~ and The arcade looked a picture with it's decorations ~

We drove to the outsirts of Norwich and parked the car at park and ride and took the bus into Norwich ~ which is really a good idea as the City is so busy and finding a parking space is almost impossible ~

I am also having trouble with File Manager, been about ten days now.  I have reported it, maybe you could do the same. Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories for me.  I have visited Norwich market many times along with the Castle Museum.  The market has been modernised since my visits there. I always enjoyed it.

Ally, Norwich looks a good place to go for shopping.  I liked the pictures of the church where you got married and the place near where you used to live.  The Mall looks familiar and I am trying to rack my brain to think if I have ever been there, I think I might have done on the way to Hunstanton once.  Love the picture of the dogs and the dyson.  My dog hates it when we turn ours on and I have to do it quickly to stop him barking.
Hugs.  Terry x

Ah, nostalgia !  When I was in my early teens we used to take holidays on the Broads.  We embarked from Thorpe, near Norwich.  I remember the Colman's mustard factory.....thanks for taking me back Ally !  Bunny x

It looks wonderful Alley, I like Santa's house it's very pretty.  All set for Christmas.......and it's a newt :) there must be water somewhere, a brook or something because they wrap their eggs in the leaves in a pond and it just looks like they're wrapping a parcel, really cute :) Rache

Hello Ally,

I haven't been to Norwich since they modernised the market, I'm not sure if I prefer the old one though!  We once went all the way to Norwich just to get some special mustard powder from the Mustard Shop in Bridewell Alley,  it had black pepper in it. I suppose I could have bought mustard powder from Sainsburys and put my own ground pepper in it - still the day out did us good!

The graphic at the end of your post brings back some memories of when my daughters were small, they both had Holly Hobbie rag dolls, I meant to bring them one back from America but didn't see any, I wonder if they still sell them.  Thanks for the lovely photos.

Ally, I was in Norwich on Thursday!  Every time I am in or near the Marketplace, I feel all the souls that have been there before. There is such a vibrant energy there!  Have you ever gone into the gem shop in the basement of the church right next to the Market?  The Arcade is one of my favourite places in Norwich!  I just love the city and there's a bus that comes every 20 minutes to take me there, with the busstop just two blocks away!  Lovely!

Filemanager was acting up for me too last week!

Love,

Susie

The pictures are lovely Ally,The arcade one reminds me of the ones  in LEEDS ,the christmas trees look so pretty all lit up,and the Market plan and Church reminded me of Wakefiled West Yorkshire only of course that is a Cathedral, where your church stands, but all the positioning of things are just the same as in your Pictures. They look lovely don't they all trimmed up at this time of year. The highlight of the entry as usual my laugh at Nin and Barney Haaaaaaaa they are so funny.Fancy them not being afraid of the vac. Most dogs do not like them.Tell Lynn she done a real good job there.LOL!!
Hope you enjoyed your day out,and shopped till you dropped LOL!!Take Care have a lovely week/end.

I wonder how many people are having trouble with AOL? It just took me about four minutes of aggravation just to try to comment here. My journal when I did my story loaded three times I only hit the button once...had a real problem trying to put the pictures on too.  They must be "tweaking" things again I just wish they would leave it alone.  Thanks for ypur comments on my story.....Sandi http://journals.aol.com/sdoscher458/LifeIsFullOfSurprises

What a verygood idea. Leave your car outside the city centre to take a bus.  And so much cheaper too. I am even luckier than that. My old regiment has it's local depot right on the fringe of the city centre so I leave my car there knowing it will be safe. As the buses come together to gain the centre it means there is a bus every sixty seconds but really it's only a ten minute walk.

I like all your pictures  Jim

Hi Ally ,we have the park and ride in Peterborough  and your shopping centre looks abit like Queensgate.Your photos are lovely ,laughed at your dogs helping Lyn with the housework......Love Jeanxx

What lovely decorations in the mall and arcade, Ally!  I just love this time of year.  It's always so depressing in Jan. when the beautiful holiday decorations come down.  LOL...love your guard dogs.

I used AOL file manager for a long time.  I resisted Photobucket until I couldn't take it any longer.  I would lose things in the file manager.  I'd upload a graphic and it started throwing them anywhere.  Aggravated the daylights out of me.  Have yourself a wonderful Sunday!  Love, Chris

File Manager and I haven't been getting on too well lately, I'm starting to consider doing my Blog elsewhere, which would be a shame but I don't have hours to waste trying to upload things.

What a lovely colourful market Ally! That's a crocodile in the last picture, I just know it! Lol! Barney and Nin are great guard dogs guarding the Dyson but if I had a burglar I'd be pleased if he stole the hoover.... and the ironing board, and the ironing too! Lol! Have a good week. Hi Ally!

Your pictures turned out good even if you did have to fight for them!  I take it Nin and Barny don't like your Dycus (?).  Did you quit calling them Hoovers?  When I was over there Mary didn't vacuum she Hoovered.

Have a great day!  Hugs!

I've heard that Norwich is a beautiful place, and your pictures prove it.  It sounds as though you have lots of great memories of times spent there.  The arcade is lovely.  I would like to see that, especially decorated for the holidays.  Oh, I need to make another trip over there and see all the places I missed the first time around!  Tina

Ally
It was a treat to see the church where you and Dick were married.  The city looks like a great place to visit and the Christmas decorations make it all that more inviting.  I know that at the end of the day, though, you were ready to leave all the hustle and bustle of the city and get back to your country cottage.  I know I would have been.
