I'm not sorry to~day is nearly over ~ it has been a horrendous day ~ with winds blowing and uprooting trees and demolishing fences ~ our fence at the side of the bungalow lies broken and scattered on the ground ~ the side gate is hanging forlornly by it's hinges waiting for some TLC to put it together again ~
We feel lucky as we have a woodburner and could light a fire to warm the bungalow ~ but couldn't boil a kettle for a cup of tea ~ neither Lyn nor I knew how to switch the gas on in the caravan which stands in the garden ~ something we must learn to do in case there is another power cut ~
Tom has had the roof blown off the top of his shed and it landed exactly where my car would have been parked ~ but luckily my car was not there at the time ~
Being the first bungalow with only one neighbour we couldn't fathom out if we were the only ones without electricity ~ so we braved going out ~ just up the road to see if anyone else had a power cut ~ the wind was so powerful it blew us to Lyn's car ~ couldn't see any lights on in the village ~ as one neighbour approached she said the whole village was without power ~ but that it was expected to be connected soon ~ I do hope it is as I was missing my computer ~
That crazy mouse and my name tag is just how I felt as the wind whipped my hair and made me draw my coat tightly around me
