Just a short entry as we are just off out to do some shopping ~ but just had to show you above picture ~ Poor Barney looks so sad ~ but am glad to say he is on the mend and is back to having fun in the garden ~

Oh Ally, I just LOVE Barney! He reminds me of Rick Stein's dog, Chalky. Barney must be your heart! He does look like he's squinting his eyes and not as full of beans as usual. Bless! I hope he continues to gain strength as the week goes by.

Barney must be getting up in years and apparently not feeling too well but as you wrote 'he is on the mend'. Give him a big Hug for me! Salty is about 4 years old now and was just a big puppy when he arrived here as a stray. When it gets up in the 50's F I need to give him a warm bath and let him shake off outside as he has not had a bath for quite some time. Barney looks fresh and clean as a daisy and comfortable laying there. I am sure Nin keeps him good company and cheers him up. I have found the area that Salty has been having pain at, which had been a long time until recently that he started making yelps from. It is some muscles all the way back on his stomach next to his legs in his groin area. I can feel on either side that they get tensed up and a little swollen. I believe it is because he runs so fast making turns in his big pen and strains his muscles. He has so much energy. He will be going to the Veterinarian in several months and I will be able to show exactly where the muscles are tender to the touch. My best wishes that Barney will be out in the yard enjoying the spring with Nin and feeling good. mark

one was swollen
she couldn't walk on it
they gave her some meds at the vet
she got better
but she could 've went the other way
if we hadn't taken her

Aww!! afraid today Ally Barney looks like I feel. I am suffering from Muscle spasm's in my neck.Had to go to A&E last night the pain was so bad.I feel for Barnie.Boo Hoo .Wish I had been nearer so I could have cuddled up to him whilst you did the shopping with Lynn and we could have both felt sorry for ourselves LOL!! I do hope Barney improves and the next picture of him is a little more cheerful.Enjoy your shop,pictures of the spending spree next Please LOL!!Just catching up on a few alerts a little at a time.Otherwise I will need surgical removal from this chair.Haaaa.Take care God Bless.

Dear Ally, what a beautiful dog, I just want to hug him. I hope he is lots better now with his medicine and I am pleased he has been in the garden and having fun. Maybe he had a chill after the snow last week. Hugs. Terry x
