Third attempt ~ Update

Lyn went to Cromer Hospital on Monday and had her scan ~ they found she has Gall Stones ~ the consultant told her they will have to be removed ~

She had been home for a couple of hours and her Doctor telephoned saying the Hospital had contacted him and he would be making arrangements for her to go into hospital ~ how and when that will be is anyones guess ~ I hope it won't be too long but you can never tell ~

I am trying to catch up ~ but time is going faster than I can run ~ I have been very remiss with my blog entries but hope to be able to get back in the swing of it soon ~

My week spent with my Sister Joy was just great ~ it was lovely being able to spend time together ~

I looked after her cats as well of which she has four ~ feeding time was just great they each have a different coloured feeding bowl and they know which one is their own ~ there is Lucky ~ Dennis ~ Snuggles and Bubbles ~ Bubbles had a stroke a while back and is a bit vacant at times but he still knows which feeding bowl is his ~ someone told me cats don't see colour ~ but I have my doubts about that !!!!!

The picture of the little black kitten is an ornament Tim brought back for me from Italy it is made of fur and is so realistic I even gave him a name "Midnight" and he has these little bright shiny green eyes :o) ~ they said they saw him and he reminded them of Me :o)

Hi Ally, I see you're having trouble making entriestoo. Bloody AOL!!
I hope Lyn gets into hospital real soon.
So glad you had a nice time with your sister. Wonder what Barney and Nin would have made of all those kittens?  Mincemeat, probably. ;O)

AOL's wonderful isn't it ~ the way it eats our entries and gets stroppy an won't let us add pics! Of course cats know much more than people give them credit for, I used to have four cats who knew exactly which bowls were there's by the position they were placed on the floor! That's all gone out the window with Nina, she'll eat out of hers and Katinka's bowl! Glad you had a good time with Joy, must've been nice to catch up with her. I hope Lyn will soon get the gall stones removed. Well done for persevering on getting the entry posted, AOL won't beat us ~ we're made of stern stuff!! Jeannette xx

I've missed you. It's been as if
the town bell didn't chime anymore.
You are so reliable your presence is
somehow reassuring. You could never
be taken for granted. Cats are nice.
There's a ginger cat now who sits
on the car above the engine to keep
warm in our mild winter. I flirt with her,
but she can't be fooled. We did a routine
the other day that resembled aspects of the
Marx Bros mirror dodging act.
Nothing happened while you were gone;
how could it; you were gone!

Really been missing all you news from Norfolk and hope you will be back to normal soon.  Sorry to hear you daughter is unwell with Gall Stones if I am not mistaken they can sort that out nowadays with keyhole surgery which is a great benifit to the patient.  I think that is very clever the cats knowing their bowls did'nt know that.   LOve Joan.

My prayers go out to Lyn, hope she has a fast recovery from gallbladder surgery. I know the feeling of trying to catch up...it is hard, so many lovely journals to read, not enough time in the day, sometimes.  I hope you have a beautiful end of the week...hugs and love,
Joyce

Good to hear from you, Ally.  Let's hope Lyn gets a speedy admission.
Nobody's got a good word to say for AOL; perhaps some grovelling on their part would be appropriate?

Ally, Well, I'm glad they finally found the source of Lyn's pain.  I had my gallbladder out in 1997, the new way, just 4 little holes in my abdomen and they "sucked" it right out.  Of course it was done under general anethesia.  I went into the hospital one morning, the surgery was about 1pm and I was discharged the next morning.  I was off work just a couple weeks. I tried to go back sooner but my body revolted and I had to take a few mores days off.  I only had two small stones, but a gallbladder attack can make you feel like you're dying. Hope they can get it out soon, so she can feel normal again.  Will remember Lyn in my prayers.  Linda in Washington state

The flowers were so pretty.  The cats were so cute all lined up with their bowls.  Hope Lyn gets the surgery soon so she can start feeling better.  Joni

That is so cute that the cats know which bowl is theirs. I must ask my daughter if her's know this. She had a cat named Midnight once and it lived to be very old. She took it to Germany with twice. Hope Lyn will be well. Paula

Just popped back to look at the pics. Reet thought the first pic of Midnight was a real cat.

I'm glad they are going to go ahead and schedule Lyn for the Gall Bladder procedure.  It's terrible that she will have to wait, though.  I hope she gets in soon.  Midnight looks cute and I think he was a great gift.  Very thoughtful of Tim and his wife.  That shot of the four kitties eating out of their different colored bowls is great.  I'm glad you enjoyed helping your sister while you were visiting.

So Lynn is awaiting a hospital appointmtnt for removal of gall stones like me. My sympathies go out to her. I wonder who will be dealt with first? I have been told I have to wait 6 weeks for out pateints appointment with surgeon and then it could be another 3 months after that. So I am permanently on strong painkillers.....I m trying to decide whether to pay privately. Love Conniexx

Love the flowers Lyn got from her boss and the picture of Joys cats lined up at their feeding bowls , "Midnight " is so cute ,have a good weekend Ally ......love Jeanxx

Yes AOL has really got us loopy...I have had things disappear and return. I sure hope Lyn will be alright and gets through everything without any troubles. I have fallen behind again myself. It happens, no worries, sometimes we all get so busy. Those cats know their stuff dont they. Four cats...we used to keep many at a time. I guess the most we ever had at once was seven. What a time that was! Glad you are back and you just take your time...we will be here. :) OH that cat ornament does look real, those eyes are kind of spooky!

I hope Lyn has a sucessful surgery and will be able to have great health from now on.  I love that little black kitten from Italy.  What a clever thing!  Those cats are so sweet all lined up at feeding time with their own bowls.
Love,
Susie

Midnight is adorable.  I thought at first it was real.  I hope Lyn gets those stones taken care of quickly.  I've heard they are super painful.  Your sister reminds me of my daughter, Becky.  She had three kitties.  Poor Skittsy died of kidney problems.  She would love to get a couple mroe but can't have more than two in her apartment.  Have a good weekend.  Love xx Chris

Hello Ally .... Just checking in to see how you are.  I'm sorry to hear that Lyn is feeling poorly ... Gallstones can make a person feel miserable, and I'm hoping that she is able to get it taken care of quickly and get back to feeling good.  Glad to hear that your visit with your sister was a good one.  The kitties are very sweet, and the ornamental one that Tim brought back looks so real!  You take care, and enjoy the lovely Autumn season.   Hugs, Tina

Hi Ally,
I just started catching up myself, and I'm sorry to hear of Lyn's troubles. Rest assured Lyn will be in my prayers, as will you. I hope things, otherwise, are well. I'm so pleased that you were able to spend time with Joy. Family is ever so important!

Regards,
Jimmy
