On the go again

Since it has been such wonderful weather we have been out and about quite a lot ~ far too nice to stay indoors ~

We went to Sheringham I love this little seaside town there is so much packed into the High Street there are shops of all shapes and sizes selling almost everything you could possibly want ~

I especially like the Chippie there ~ you can go in and sit down to have your meal ~ and the sea views are lovely ~

we then went on to Cromer another seaside town just along our coast line they have some really cute little shops there as the pictures show ~ did a little bit of shopping just something to have for tea ~ and a few groceries ~ and yes we did have an icecream it wouldn't be a visit to the seaside without your icecream ~

The other morning Lyn went into the Garage only to find our resident field mouse sitting at the bottom of a plastic storage tub ~ he had got in there but could not get out ~ but he wasn't perturbed as he sat there coolly washing his face and whiskers ~ I wish she had taken a photograph of him ~ if you remember I did get one of him sitting in the freezer in the garage ~ he was of course set free ~

It has been much cooler today and we had a little rain ~ but only a very small amount ~ we havn't had any rain here for the last 26 days ~ so the Garden could really do with a nice downpour ~ A nice gentle downpour ~ "Please"

Lovely photos Ally, You certainly have some nice places nearby that you can visit. Cromer and Sheringham seem like really nice places. There`s nothing like fish and chips at the seaside, they always taste gorgeous. I can`t wait until we move to the coast ourselves, I`ll be in my element. :o)

I know of Cromer Ally but never been.I have been around Great Yarmouth and Hemsby and lots of rides around that area in past yrs,but never stopped at Cromer. This place is much higher up the coast than the area I have  travelled around. The little shop looks lovely and all the pics are lovely. The apple tree is beautiful and the violets are so pretty creeping through the shingle.I love plants to grow like that. The boys look to be having a good laugh and a good time.Suprized the little lodger was still with you in the garage,LOL.Well and the best laugh of the posting had to be Barney guarding that precious toy LOL!!!!!!!!Lovely posting and I just love your garden and always have it's so large it is wonderful.I am happy you had a lovely day out.Take Care God Bless.Kath

I love the violets peeping through the stones.  Oh Cromer, we had the famous crabs there. Long time since I was down that way.  The tree looks great.  Mike has just had to redo our border.  All the ground cover stuff died, it was just too hot and dry last year so he has put in taller plants that will give some shade and now we have to get some new groundcover plants.  Maybe not be able to do it in time before my treatment starts next week.
Wish she had got a picture of that field mouse as well. They are so pretty.

Hi Ally, some lovely photos you have there, I wonder if Tilly and Barney are related, they have exactly the same markings, even down to the spots on their fur, ( but Tilly is a lot fatter) thanks to Stephen giving her titbits,
We have been looking at Cromer, Sheringham, and Yarmouth or round about there for a holiday this year, I want to taste the "Cromer Crabs",   we cant make our minds up where to go, any recomendations, it all looks beautiful.
Love Lynne xx

Yes the weather is nice here too and I have been inside too much today. I just hope our summer won't be as harsh as it was last year. You always go neat places. We don't have anything that neat that close. Paula

I love the pictures. I went to Cromer a few years ago when I was stopping in Walsingham. Its lovely there. The picture of the funny shaped building is just the same shape as a house that is for sale in Barton Tony, near me. I have always wanted to see in that house and it is now up for sale. I might go and have a peek and be nosey...............Jules xxx

You reminded me Stuart and I had sit in fish and chips in the chippy in Sherringham a few years back and very nice too. What is so good about Sherringham is there are shops there that are no where else in any other town its the same shope all the time. Can't wait for my visit there in a coulple of weeks. Love Joan.

Ally
Sheringham looks like a lovely seaside village.  I'd love to browse in that shop that has the model boats in the window.  I'm glad you are getting out again now that the weather is doing better.  Good luck on getting that rain you need.  Great pictures!

I enjoyed all the photos and I can see your apple tree is just blooming.    All of the fruit trees were frozen this year in the entire region of the country so there will be no crop.    I have been watching the history of the English Bible on PBS and it was fascinating.    Thank you for sending me the email with the information on Norwich as I began to read it and will have to look for it in my filing cabinet.    It was only cool here last night with light rain and will be a slighly cooler day with sunshine coming back.     I forgot if it was Barney or Nin on his toy waiting for someone to take it.    Will he growl and bark if someone dares to like Salty, lol !   mark

OH I do love these little virtual visits with you!  Loved all the pictures and narrative.  We are desperate for some rain here as well.  We did have a few showers the other day, but not near enough!

Rose here, stopping in for a look. Enjoyed the lovely pictures of your seaside visit. If you need some "gentle" rain, I can try to send you some from Vancouver. We've really had our fair share this April. Hopefully, we'll enjoy more sunshine from now on.

I don't feel I've been to the seaside unless I've had fish and chips, a bag of hot doughnuts, an icecream and a stick of candy floss.  Lovely pictures Ally.
