I let Nin and Barney into the garden this morning and what a beautiful day it is ~ leaning on the gate and watching the boys playing and hiding in the shrubs and chasing the little birds that were feeding on the bird table ~
There was a soft breeze blowing across the garden ~ it felt more like Summer than Spring and it was lovely just standing there watching ~
There are lots of flowers just starting to come through ~ the Daffodils and Tulips are in bloom and gives colour where only a short time ago it was bleak and dull ~
Went for a drive to Aylsham to do some shopping and took some photographs on the way home ~ we pass through some lovely countryside and small villages ~
Then took one of the Garden it is starting to look better after the grass was cut ~ it had grown so long and had to be strimmed before the lawn mower could be used ~ now it is the time again to get the steam cleaner out and clean those patio slabs and get the garden furniture out ~

lovely photos Ally - really nice looking - not summery here!
Oh your garden is looking lovely already. We made a start this morning by clearing away all the twigs and branches that had fallen off the trees - we filled a wheelie bin - only to be rained off at lunch time :-(. Your pictures are lovely, I felt like I was on holiday again. Eileenx
How quaint! Makes me want to be there with ya...
Can I come over?
Nancy
The pics are gorgeous. Very Spring/Summer looking. Our grass is starting to show , but the snow is still here! :)

It certainly is lovely to see the colour, not that winter was that bad but there was nothing bright to look at. Glad you can cut your lawn, I wish we could but it is still a bog and the mower would only rip it out by the roots. Still if this dry sunny weather keeps up............. Your country lanes look just like the ones we have that remain although they are disappearing fast with development.

Hi Ally lovely to see your photos ,what great weather we are having ,its my sons birthday today I remember when he was born 38years ago it was snowing heavy what a difference it is today ,enjoying all the lovely colours of the spring flowers........Love Jeanxx I bet the dogs have enjoyed chasing round the garden.
It's only 8:45 am here but it already looks like it will be a nice day. The sun is shining brightly and they are saying no rain today. My patio needs to be pressure washed too, it's so green & mossy looking. I too have tulips and daffodils blooming. And I noticed the lilac trees are budding. I also have hundred of bluebells here and there about to bloom. Your gardening graphic is so pretty. I hope you get that cam fixed by the bird feeder so you can give us a wave. Linda in Washington

Luv Jayne x
It's lovely being able to go outside and enjoy the fresh air, let's hope it stays dry for a few days, so I can get in the wetter bits of my garden, it's not looking as neat as yours.
Linda x.
It's nice to see some sunshine at last! You're right, it does seem as if Summer has arrived early. I shall sit in the garden and enjoy the sunny weather while it lasts. The weather is so unpredictable!
Lovely to see some photos and some news. Hope you had a nice time shopping.

You can't beat the English countryside in spring can you?! Gardening can be hard work but it's a good excuse to leave the housework and get outside! Have a lovely week. Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
You've caught some beautiful blue skies Ally and houses. It is relaxing and amusing to see animals frolic on a sunny day.........pleasure without the exhaustion. First cut of grass smells so good. Rache

Kara :)
Don't you just love when the seasons change? Lovely pictures.
Sounds as if spring has arrived at your place. It has rained here all day long. Much more and the rain guage will overfow. Unusual for south texas. Paula
lovely country area you live in. It looks beautiful!
I am back online again. I have missed you! Love Conniex
I know it was nice to get outside. We have all been cooped up so long from wintertime! I can't see the pictures, the outline for the box is there, but no pics. :( You know I think Dad had that problem with one of my entries, I wonder what is going on with AOL. It is always something. Maybe I will be able to see them later. It is good to hear that you are enjoying it all, the grass is greening, the flowers are peeking up...feels good.
I was trying to figure out where I'd heard of Reepham before. I thought it was where a friend lived. Turns out he lives in Reepham Road, Hellesden.
Glad you had a nice day Ally. A bit of sunshine and a few daffs and we're happy aren't we? B. x
Lovely pictures Ally, your garden is looking a treat for this time of year with your grass cut too you are lucky mine is still very wintery like the weather. Love Joan.
Ally, it's always a pleasure to visit your journal. I'm glad to know that spring has finally arrived in your neck of the woods! Your grass looks a lot greener than mine, but then we haven't had much rain here in the wilds of Texas. I loved the picture of ol'Blue all dressed up.It gave me the biggest smile of the day! It seems likle everybody has been having trouble with AOL lately. Maybe a good scrubbing would indeed help...(lol) Jon
Hey! I know that road! LOL! Your garden looks so fresh and lovely! If I had a garden that large, I'd have chickens!
Hugs,
Susie

We've had a touch of that Summer feeling here this week, too. It's cool again this weekend, but temps were in the eighties for a couple of days. The tulips are in bloom here and our famous azaleas are in full array now. Summer is just around the corner and the boaters are starting to stir again. I really enjoyed seeing your picutures. You have such a nice back yard for the dogs and boys to play in.
Sam
Good luck with the gardening I hate it myself and leave it all to Hairy!
luv bella xx
Enjoyed your pics Ally...I think I have heard of Reepham! It sure is lovely weather isn't it? makes you want to do stuff! Linda xx
Ally, I'm so amazed at how much further into spring the UK is than the northern US. Makes me long for April to get here. That's when spring should start and flowers bloom. Your pictures were lovely. Love xx Chris
Isn't it wonderful to start preparing for the warmer weather now! I hope you are enjoying your spring.
Monica
What beautiful photos Ally...loved all of them. Yes, the garden is looking awesome...love fresh cut grass. Have a beautiful week...love,
Joyce
Ally,
What lovely pictures. I am of British descent and have a desire to visit the UK. I'm sure the pictures don't do it justice. Unitil next time, Smiles!
David
Isn't it lovely outside now with all the daffs in the hedgerows. I have filled my new flat with vases of daffs. I love them! Love Conniex
Your drive looks pleasant with some old buildings and stone work blended in with newer buildings. I have been cutting down limbs from my yard with a hand saw that were very overgrown. I have already pulled one tick off of me. It is suppose to rain today and tomorrow but it is warm with some sun out presently. mark
I loved the drive and the scenery was awesome. Doing some catching up this morning...hope you have a beautiful holiday weekend...hugs and love,
Joyce
