Just to wish you all a very Belated "Happy New Year"
This little field mouse is in the freezer in the garage ~ Lyn called me to come have a look ~ he is so tiny and looked terrified ~ the freezer drawers had been removed as it was being de~frosted ~ there was nothing in there for him to eat ~ and all the bird seed and peanuts were packed away in plastic bins so he couldn't nibble his way in ~
So feeling sorry for the little mite I took a few seeds and a couple of peanuts out and put in a dish for him ~ Yes Lyn thinks I'm 'Nuts' as well :o)

He is gorgeous and I would have done exactly the same thing as you. Field mice are harmless and so pretty. Feed him up a little and then let him go into the countryside if you can.

Oh Ally, how sweet of you. Your mousie is really sweet and I hate to see them hurt. I just can`t share house space with them. I`m sure he was grateful for the meal. :o)

Oh my goodness Ally you are the kindest hearted person I have ever met. I am afraid he/she will invite all the friends. We had problems with field mice when we lived at the ranch. Paula
Good for you Ally, hope he doesn't get to used to it though. ;O)
Nice to see you back again. Happy new year to you. B. x
Well Ally....that was kind and sweet....but let me tell ya...if we did that here...we would have no house or provisions left....cause those little field mice will take over your place as soon as it gets cold....LOL....we have already had the first wave LOL...so far so good....none more....but they are cute huh???? Happy day....Ora
Ally, you are so brave. I couldn't enter a room where I knew a mouse was on the loose! Hugs. Terry x
Ally
You have such a big heart, my friend. I'm glad you gave the little critter something to nibble on. He's just trying to survive in this old world just like the rest of us. Glad you had the presence of mind to snap a picture to share.

eeeeeeeeeeeeks, now it'll never leave. He has someone to feed him, lol. ((((((hugs)))))))))

He is cute, looks like the little mouse living in my kitchen that refuses to be lured into the humane trap so we can let him free outside... Of course it's 24 degrees outside so he's no dummy...
Have a great weekend!
Linda :)
Oh noooooooo, I could never feed the little critter. However, I have Sonny catch them and take them out to a field! I can't kill em either.
Monica
How sweet! I have a problem with mice in my larder. It is right downstairs on an outside wall. The little dears have been nibbling their way through my goodies off and on for well over a year now. Nothing I do seems to keep them at bay! I realize they have to eat too, but these ones obviously have eclectic tastes! They by pass the ramen noodles and head right for my treasured packets of Spatzel I brought back from Germany. hmm...maybe they are German mice and are looking for a taste of home?

No, Ally; I would have done the same for this enterprising little fieldmouse. Clever you to `capture' him. Bunny xx

Awwww bless poor wee thing...hope he's now living happily out in the fields instead of your freezer Caff xxxxx
Oh what a little sweetie! She must have been terrified! Is she gone now? I imagine so! We have mice in a garage too. The one mouse has no fear. Edwin often tells her that he is not pleased with her using our swing cushions for a bedding source. She just stares him down! Thanks for sharing!

You are so kind. I personally don't mind little mouses, but others in my family are not of the same persuasion, and I wouldn't get a minute's peace until I had removed it, and put it somewhere far, far away!
A xxx
You have a soft heart Ally!
luv bella xx
LOL...Ally, I'm terrified of mice. You are just so sweet. My daughter Becky would do the same thing. Actually, he is a cute little thing. I'm so glad to see an entry from you. I was getting worried that you hadn't been around. Happy New Year to you also! Are you going to keep that little mouse as a pet? He looks really comfortable and not a bit timid. Love xx Chris
I don't like them in my house, but I guess they deserve a chance for a good meal in the winter time too. You did good Ally ! Linda in Washington
Awwww bless the lil mouse Ally and good he found you to feed him!! LOL mind you I'd hate it if I saw one in my house would make me jump!! Have you seen Miss Potter - I thought of you when I saw it - the sort of film I know you will love. Laine xxxxx

aww poor little thing must have been very scared and hungry, how kind of you :-)
Hi Ally I was quiet amused by your little visitor. You seem to be a girl like me I couldn't do any harm either and I would have been feeding it just like you. I have an awful problem when my Daisy catches birds and mice and brings them home to me, she doesn't want to eat them and I know its natures way but Idris and I get really upset when she kills them, but have to accept it. Thanks for wellcoming me. Hope to here from you soon. Kathie.
:o)
Luv Jayne
Good to see you Ally. Awwww he's cute. Must have been really cold in there. Rache
I have field mice in my rubbish shed, fortunately they cannot get into a wheelie bin, they just shelter the night there, theyre so small and very shy, youre lucky to get such a good picture.all the best zoe xx

Oh you are so much nicer than me as I am really frightened by mice in my house!
Kara
Yes they are just cute as buttons, but such destructive little critters. We had quite an infestation in our garage, they ruined a wool rug I had rolled up in there, found about 20 babies rolled up in that rug....man what a smell...wheweee...I tried to save one once, long time ago, as a pet, when I was at the other house. I found the container he was in empty in the morning...never saw him again, which was probably a good thing! ;)
Ally, I think it was a sweet and thoughtful gesture to leave the little field mouse some goodies (believe it or not, I would have probably done the same thing!). I just hope the mouse doesn't decide to bring his friends along next time for a free dinner!
Hope you have a fantastic New Year! Jon
Wishing you a late 'Happy New Year' also! You are certainly kind to your little 'critters'. I had one die in my car last summer and the smell was awful and lasted a while. Another made a nest in my truck heater vent near the floor and the smell was awful when I turned on the heat fan. I lasted for a year. I just got the truck licensed again after having it sit on the property for many years running it up and down the driveway to keep it in good operating condition. It has been below freezing here yesterday and today but did not get as cold as predicted. Salty is staying warm by the woodburner and spends a little time in his outdoor pen each day. mark
Happy new year Ally! It's good to see you back! I used to put food out for a little mouse guest we had in our shed a few years back! They're so pretty, I know they carry diseases but they're so cute I don't know why anyone would be afraid of them! Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
You have such a kind heart, Ally.
God Bless,
Susan
