Tomorrow 26th November is my Darling Daughters Birthday ~ So Lyn I hope you have a wonderful day ~ you are the best Daughter a Mother could wish for ~ and thankyou for all the things you do for me and anyone else who needs your help ~ you are always there ready to listen and willing to help ~
Yesterday we went for a trip to Reepham a small Village near us and stopped at the Village store ~ there was a crowd of schoolboys out front all eating chips ~ the smell wafting from them was wonderful ~ I wondered where they had got them because I had never seen a Chippie all the times we have been there ~
I asked Lyn if she knew where it was because by this time I was starving ~ driving along looking down a narrow road to our left she suddenly remembered that it was down there ~ so we turned left and sure enough found the Chippie as you can see from the photograph
I got out of the car and found the front door which said "OPEN" on it and with trepidation I undid the door not knowing what it would be like inside ~ as from the outside it looked like a derelict rundown dump ~
So you can imagine my surprise to find a beautifully clean and hygienic shop ~ so instead of running out of the shop I placed my order ~ then couldn't get home quick enough to eat them ~

Looks such a pretty place. Fish and Chips eaten on the spur of the moment when you are out somewhere always seem to taste better. Happy Birthday to your daughter!

Thanks for sharing the photos Ally. I could almost smell the fish and chips myself when reading about them, I don't know if I would have been brave enough to enter the shop though, you're right, it did look rundown!!

Happy Birthday, Lyn! When you get a whiff of a chip shop nothing else will do - you just have to have some! Nothing else will do. Not even a bar of chocolate. Have a nice weekend both of you, and the boys. love, Angie, xx
Wonderful pictures! Tammy
Happy Birthday to Lyn for tomorrow :o) Seems more and more now that where there is a school near you will find somewhere that sells chips even if not an actual chippy LOL Caff xxxx
Yum! Your are right; from the outside it didn't look very inviting (or safe!), but I am glad you opened that door! I bet you are too. Hope you enjoyed. I love the pictures of the sheep dotting the field... Jae

Oh what happy memories for me. We stayed in Reepham at Easter the year the Queen Mother died. It was either 200 or 2001. We stayed in the pub/hotel in centre of the village (I think where all the cars were parked on one of your photos) and had such a lovely holiday. We visited Cromer and Hunstanton the Broads and a zoo cum country park, but I can't remember its name. The weather was glorious too. Eileenx
Love the pictures and the graphics. The Palm trees remind me of somewhere warm, which is not Washington state today. Sounds like you had a nice day with Lyn. Happy Birthday a day early Lyn, and thanks for taking such good care of your dear mother. Linda in Washington state

I loved the picture of the chip shop, I cannot believe you actually ventured in!! What a surprise for you to find that it was nice and clean inside, I wonder what their business plan is, perhaps they have just opened. Hi, Alley, Just passing by trying to catch up on my alerts. Haven't checked them in a week. My sweet granny passed away last week and I've just been so depressed. But I know she is in a better place than we are.
Take care. God Bless,

Mmmmm .... when I visited your beautiful country, I must have gained five pounds eating the chips. They were the best ! It was worth every calorie ! Glad you found a nice surprise when you walked in the door of that shop. Tina
P.S. Oops .... Happy belated Birthday to your daughter. Hope she enjoyed her day. Tina
Oh dear! I want chips for lunch now...with loads of salt and vinegar on! I can almost smell them...
love Phoenix
I enjoyed viewing the architecture of Reepham and am glad you found the Chippie Shop and will enjoy going back to it. ' Happy Birthday to Lyn!' I was viewing your photos several days ago when my worker got here and had to get off the Net. Yesterday I could not get AOL to open your or anyone else's page for some time. I have been doing a little work on the construction of my home so there is progress. My back is extremely painful today with the warm weather going to cold tomorrow with rain predicted. I just want to lay down and read on my board and cushion for relief. Salty is out in his pen as it is not raining yet but the sky is dark. I know Barney and Nin are being pampered and enjoying the 'bachelor life', lol. mark
Ally
Happy belated birthday to Lyn! Sorry I'm late in sending this wish, but hopefully she will forgive me. The pictures of Reepham are nice. Yes, it loooks like a very quaint little village, one that just invites you to explore. I'm glad you braved your way through the front door of that Chippie. You were rewarded well for you effort.
Sam
