Joy already has three cat's ~ but Lucky was homeless as the people who owned her were moving home and couldn't take pets with them ~ Lucky is very full of herself and when let out in the Lounge she ran straight up the curtains and across the dresser ~ across the top of the Television ~ and up the curtains again ~ So now she has a little harness just for the time being until she calms down a bit ~
Now just look at those onions ~ Roy our only neighbour asked Lyn if she would like some ~ and of course she said yes ~ but did not know how big they were ~ we thought of making Onion rings but havn't got a pan big enough ~ then maybe pickling them but couldn't find a jar with a big enough opening to push them through ~ so we have decided to chop them up and freeze them ~ unless anyone else has a better idea ~ (Lyn did say she would make some apple and onion sauce which she has made in the past ~
The tray of candy is in case we have any callers Halloween night ~ last year we only had one small boy ~ all dressed up as a skeleton maybe he will come again ~ I hope so ~ if not I am sure Lyn will be able to finish them off ~ she seems to like lollipops ~
Thankyou for the witch Donna ~ you can find D's designs on my sidebar

Lucky is indeed very lucky. My daughter had a solid black cat named Midnight. She lived to a very old age. Mmm I love onions. Paula

Lucky sounds a bundle of fun! She's so pretty too. Nina still runs up the curtains and across every surface! Those onions are ginormous Ally! Hope the sauce turns out good if that's what Lyn makes with them! Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/
What a sweet little kitten! What a joy she will be once she calms down. I have never seen such big onions. I'd be happy to send you a few onion recipes if you want? Can I come trick or treating at your place? Love the looks of all that candy too!

PS....never ever have I seen onions that big....freezing was your best option...when I do it I freeze in small amounts...enough for anything I want to use them in....and I use onions in just about everything....LOL
I'm trying to picture an onion so large that you can't even prepare it as onion rings, lol! Ally, we are kindred spirits, for sure!
Jimmy

Lovely kitten and onions think freezing is a great idea then you will alway have some if you run short. Think I'll pop down for Halloween for some of that candy looks yummee. Love Joan.
What a cute little kitty!
We never get any kids round here either at Halloween. It's a shame....I remember when the streets used to to be full of kids all dressed up. Sign of the times maybe?
Hugs,

Astra!
Dunno about the kitten but sure would appreciate those onions. What does fried kitten taste like.
Those onions are gigantic! I hope they live up to their size in flavor! I didn't know you could freeze them. Onion rings sound so good..too bad you don't have a pan...Jae
Ally
Lucky really is a little cutie! Hopefully she'll calm down soon, though, for Joy's sake. Climbing the curtains would get old fast in my household. Was really surprised at the size of those onions. Wow! I love onion rings. I'd be tempted to go and buy a pan just to be able to have some of those this size. I enjoyed seeing that the candy you pass out for Halloween in England is just like the candy we give out in the United States. I hope you have more kids show up at your door this year.
Sam
I love kitties and wish I could have one but I am so allergic!!!
Kara :)
I just love this kitten! What personality he has! Full of beans! Our Willow ran up the curtains all the time when we first brought her home. Then after that, it was the inside of the chimney!
Hope you get some more Halloweeners this year!

what a beautiful kitten! My those onions are huge! He should have won a prize with them! Love conniex
Good Lord, I have never seen onions that big. I would not know quite what to do with them. He must have exceptionally green fingers. Ah, Lucky is so sweet, I am sure she will settle down soon. Perfect name for her as well. Strange how we consider black cats lucky but Americans consider them unlucky.
We have done for trick or treat. We only seem to get yobs around here and they certainly do not want sweets. Oh well, when they hear the dogs bark and Mike goes to the door they will soon scram. Shame it cannot be like it is in America.

Wow!! at the onions Ally, your neighbour is a good gardener. Lucky is lovely, cute and adorable.......I'd keep nicking the sweets too :) Rache
Now that's what you call onions!!!!!!! WOW!
Lyn
Hi Ally!
Yummm Onion Rings sound so good! I have a cat story (or a cat box) story! My friend has someone that is driving her batty. She woke up yesterday morning already mad thinking about that person. So she wrote that persons name on a piece of paper, folded it three times (supposed to mean something) and put it in the cats litter box! Her brother said "OH Nooooo! You put a curse on her!" The theory is the cursed person is supposed to smell the litter box all day! Eeewwww! Glad you're doing fine! I don't seem to get in here much lately. :(
Hugs!

Hi Ally - French Onion Soup would be my favourite. Or Cream of Onion Soup (which you freeze without the cream). Or cheese and onion tart. Or lovely caramelised onions. They take a long time but are so worth it. - love, Angie, xx
Oh I love onions, especially cooked in a slow cooker! Makes them so sweet. You could make onion soup! yummy. And how nice that Lucky has found a decent home! Hugs and GBU, Shelly
